Description: At The Living Room our focus remains on sourcing the best quality ingredients, preparing them simply and delivering bags of flavour and texture on the plate. This is good, honest, robust and stylish food with its origins firmly in the European tradition with international touches. There is nothing frilly or fancy. A selection of Home Comforts - bangers and mash, fish and chips – are designed for easy eating yet there are also more elaborate dishes like 'Line caught yellow-fin tuna, seared and peppered with lemon aioli and baby herb salad'. Small plates - such as wok fried edamame beans or Italian olives – allow for casual snacking while sandwiches and salads enable one-course, easy and casual dining. All-day opening is designed to facilitate easy access and reinforces a core ethos behind The Living Room; you, the customer, is the one empowered to make decisions and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to do that, enjoy it and be comfortable.

“Outstanding Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

The ambience was lovely, the lighting excellent, a pianist playing on a white Grand piano. There is an extensive cocktail menu. A very chilled out contemporary restaurant serving exceptional quality food.

“Always a good choice...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We have eaten here several times over the last couple of years and always enjoy the experience. I couldn't tell you much about the menu as it's the place in Bristol we always go to when we want a steak!!!!
The service is always good, the staff are always friendly - albeit they did forget to bring our bottle of wine on our last visit....unforgivable!!!!!
It's also one of our favourite places to go to for a cocktail...they make the best Long Island Iced Teas :)

“Staff were great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Starters were good, my veg pasta main course was very oily- had to leave some, long wait for main courses. Cabbage on my husbands roast dish was just warm not cooked - better than over cooked but only just ! Good wine list.

But staff were super nice and atmosphere great.

“Terrible food!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

I have been there twice! The first time the steak was hard and overlooked especially when I asked for a medium steak! They never checked how it was during the meal and as it was a lunch break, I did not have the time to complain! Instead they cidn't charge me as I hardly touched it!
The 2nd time, I had the seafood linguine and the portion is so small, it's ridiculous! Never seen anything like it!
Do not recommend it at all!! Never going there again!
