In spite of arriving early we were welcomed in such a cheerful and friendly way that all potential awkwardness was immediately dispelled. The accommodation (double ensuite) was clean and comfortable and more than adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast, served by the cheerful and friendly co-owner Pauline, was not exactly gourmet fare but perfectly cooked and certainly one of most substantial that we have ever had. Unfortunately the night (midweek) was warm and our open window let in enough early rush-hour traffic noise to make it difficult to sleep as late as we wished. In other respects though we would recommend this B&B.

at the grey house you certainly get a very warm welcome stayed there for five time in two years both Pauline and Mike make you a part of the family, the breakfast is very good last you until evening meal time plenty of tea or coffee, well situated just of the m5/m4 easy to find, rooms very comfortable and hardly any road noise, and nice off road parking. will be staying again.

Stayed here for two nights back in July 2011. The B&B is in a very convient location being reasonable close to the M4 and M5 motorway. Both nights I had a good peaceful sleep and there was no real noise of traffic to annoy me. Each morning I woke up to a fantastic full English breakfast which kept me going for most of the day. I'd recommend anyone to stay here in future and if I find myself in Bristol again I won't hesitate to book the place again.

Bristol can be very cloudy even in August, but the couple who run Grey House B&B is very shiny and hearty. First of all, you feel at home the minute you arrive. The breakfast is so huge, you do not have to ear until 5 hours later. We stayed four nights in a family room, next to a kitchen, which was very comfortable. The kitchen had a lot of facilities and some ingredients to prepare food and hot drinks. They also helped with so many little things, like giving us a ride to the railway station. Just one complaint: There is no particular place for putting your soap, shampoo and all that stuff in the bathroom. Asides from that, it was excellent all the way.
