“remarkable value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 April 2011

we stayed over on a Saturday and given the fact that we only paid £59.00 for two on a room only basis, we were surprised by the high standard of the room. I would have expected to pay far more. The automatic check-in located in the near by Starbucks is a bit odd but it works and clearly keeps overheads down. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is just a few mins from junc 16 of the M5 and would suit those needing an overnight stop over or visiting near by Bristol

Room Tip: book early, this is going to be very popular.

“Value for Money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 April 2011

When i tried to checkin using the automated system it didnt find any bookings. Staff was very friendly. They also helped me find places where i could find dinner. Wrote down the entire address for me. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Had a sound sleep. It was so quiet and peaceful. The free Wifi was a surprise and welcome addition. Will definately stay again if i am in that area

“Excellent quality rooms, but a little expensive on weekdays”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 April 2011

I stay in this hotel regularly for work and always find the rooms excellent - very well equipped, decorated in a modern and appealing way, and spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom facilities are excellent, although £97 per night in the week is too high - should be closer to £80 given the location. The automated check-in machine is the hotel's weakest point - it's very slow and unreliable. Queues can build up and the staff don't help clear them by checking guests in manually.
It would be nice to have a few more channels on the TV as there is very little else to do unless you drive somewhere. The standards of maintenance could do with improvement - it's become normal to find loose toilet seats, poorly fitting shower enclosure doors and on one occasion I had a room with no curtains (just a blind which let a lot of light through). These details are minor though given how good all else is.
The attached cafe/restaurant offers excellent value food.

“Amazing rooms at a cheap price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2011

So glad we booked this hotel, we were unsure about the self check in and out of town location but in the end it was perfect for our needs. It was easy to find using sat nav and has decent pubs, shops and takeaways all within a short drive. I recommend the Toby carvery for food and Tesco Express for late night snacks, both are a 5 minute drive away. This hotel isn't located in Bristol city centre and is more suited to those using it for business purposes or a stop-over as it's perfect for jumping straight onto the M5 which is literally down the road. The hotel has it's own carpark with approx 20 spaces and is in a very quiet location. The carpark is barrier operated using the code printed on your room receipt. You check in using the machine located in the Starbucks next door, this sounds unusual but is no problem at all and the staff in their are very helpful if you're unsure. Within a few clicks on the touchscreen we were checked in and on our way to our room. As soon as you enter the corridor you can tell the hotel is well looked after, with lovely carpet and immaculately clean throughout. Rooms are card operated and are fantastic. I stay in a lot of hotels and this is up there with the apartments, the room was modern, well laid out and a pleasure to stay in. It has a feeling of luxury with it's carpet, curtains and comfortable sofa in the room. Our room was close to the main door and right next to the carpark but was still silent all night long. The bathroom comes with toiletries so you don't need to take your own, has a wonderful power shower and heated towel rail. It even has under toilet lighting so you don't have to blind yourself or your partner should you use the toilet in the middle of the night. A nice touch. When you enter the carpark it indicates there is a £3 charge for overnight guests but in fact you don't have to pay. You use the code to drive in and out the barrier as you please. I was so impressed with this hotel that I booked another stay as soon as I got home and would definately recommend it. It's one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in and at £49 for the night it's very good value for money.

“Excellent value weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2011

Service not reviewed because there wasn't any!

Got a great deal on a weekend rate and was impressed overall with the facilities. The business park location was far better than I had expected and was quiet despite accessibility to motorways and main roads. No worries about parking either.

The temperamental automatic check-in problem was solved by a willing young man in Starbucks. The room itself was spacious. modern and clean, with excellent bathroom and much appreciated free Wi-Fi.

Hubbie and I had taken our own breakfast in a cool box and enjoyed it leisurely in our room.

Would definitely use again when visiting our daughter at uni in Bristol.
