“This place was fabulous, quiet, luxurious, well located and affordable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2010

I would highly recommend this B & B. The location was very convenient, yet quiet. We had a great time, toured the vinyards, the abbey city of Cluney, biked on rails converted to bike lanes, sampled wines, drank some great Leffe beer, sat on the front patio, watched the world cup soccer on their TV, cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen, went for hikes and runs in the neighborhood of farms and thouroughly enjoyed our five night stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very French; the great room had two huge tables and couches and TV; it had been a cow barn and the ambiance was teriffic.

The hostess was most helpful, good restaurant suggestions, tours and trips, castles, bike route everything you could desire for a French get-away.

Stay here if you get the chance. We would love to go back. Perfect English spoken as well. The hostess had been a one year exchange student in the U.S.

“Charming & Honest B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2009

A great B&B, thank you all Trip Advisor reviewers. We stayed here for just one night and it started our holiday off brilliantly.

At first viewing we were a little sceptical, but on closer inspection this was a great find. The rooms are all of good size, and the beds, although small are very comfortable. The bathrooms are spotless - believe me I have an eye for detail and I couldn't find fault in the standard of cleanliness.

The hostess (I can't remember her name now) was just lovely, so helpful in every way (e.g. offering to drive us to our restaurant that night) Breakfast was delicious and very generous.

The ground floor is very much run as a free area for all guests, for instance when we got back from dinner a couple were cooking their dinner in the open plan kitchen. A feel I really like - as returning guests they clearly knew what they could do. If we go back, which I hope we do I'll be doing the same!

“wonderful B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2009

I stayed in this B&B for my first travel to macon.
The owner of the B&B is very nice and speak good English. The rooms are sweet and romantic. I stayed in the "Pouilly Fuissé " which is pink in tone, ideal for girls .Guests can stay in the living room to look for travel informations and chat. Also there is a kitchen for cooking simple food. The owner is so nice to prepare simple breakfast in the night before as we have to leave very early in the next day.
A good choice ~

“Rural Chambre d'Hote in lovely country with all benefits of a gite.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2009

This 5-room B&B has five charming fresh ensuite rooms, a fabulous breakfast and a delightful English-speaking host, Veronique, who lives in the adjoining house with her family. The vast main floor of this restored barn is devoted to a pleasant lounge, multiple dining areas (including in the garden) , and a full open kitchen allowing for eat-in dinners if desired. The price was just 55 euros, which drops with multiple nights. Only improvement would be some wider beds.

“Fantastic find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2008

Trip Advisor succeeds once more! We found this gem of a place on TA and are we glad we did! La Grange is set in a country steading and the two resident chickens add to the charm. Veronique was the most gracious and accommodating hostess. I hung my wash on the line, enjoyed the communal lounge, and over indulged in breakfast with yoghurt, breads, cakes, and pastries.

Each room is individually decorated with a local wine as a theme. Our pretty La Fleurie was a lovely blue & white with clean towels daily.

The beauty of this place is that you have the advantages of a gite (kitchen, washing machine, television) with the services of a small guest house.

A perfect hideaway in France, convenient to vineyards and touring.
