Hotel is fine--clean, quiet, comfortable, and updated, but there is nothing of interest in walking distance, unless you want to walk along the side of a busy road for over a mile. The old town held some charm but did not seem to have a hotel. Leziria Parque seemed to be the only one. Since we did not have a car it was too inconvenient/unsafe to get into town, we had to have dinner at the hotel. An ordinary buffet was the only dinner option. The breakfast buffet, however, was good. In summary, if you have to stay in Vila Franca, Leziria Parque may be the only option. However, if you're looking for charm, stay in another town.

“Rather choose something else”
I attended a congress in Carregado, Portugal, and this hotel was the nearest. I would not recommend it, but here is something positive: About 10minutes walk from Villa Franca train station, the personnel was very helpful and friendly, dinner in the hotel restaurant was good. Taxi’s was relatively cheap.
Negatives: It is not so glamorous as it looks on the website, a bit basic. There is a railroad at the back of the hotel and a small shopping centre next door, that’s all. The immediate surroundings was a bit ‘industrial’ and there was nothing to do in the vicinity. Not worth the 64€, (excluding breakfast).

“Clean, comfortable hotel”

This is a simple, clean hotel just off the A1 about a mile outside of Vila Franca de Xira. We came to watch a bullfight and the bull running through the streets and just needed a place to stay. The Lezeria Parque fit the bill and provided free parking, a clean, quiet room and a nice breakfast – all for a fair price.
