The drive from downtown took an hour at 6:30 p.m./We were greeted by the host who was both frendly and informative.
We waited for our guests and enjoyed some wine and beer..Having dined in various Hungarian restaurants and being Hungarian by birth I was surprised at the menu..the lack of some popular hungarian stews... also the House platter or wooden platter as it is sometimes referred to was very boring.....Country Style Restaurant on Bloor Street serves an awesome "house platter with Sausage, chicken livers, salads , cabbage rolls, potatoes, beet salad, smoked bacon, pork chops. and schnitzel, ( 2 huge schnitzels)The house platter at Rhapsody had 3 small pieces of schnitzel..lots of potatoes and rice and a few pieces of sausage....we had to pay extra for 4 salads...
The host and server was wonderfull...the price OOKAY....but for my money and time Country Style on Yonge..or the Hungarian restaurant on Bathurst just south of Lawrence get my vote
