stayed 3 nights in march with good deal with AXA breaks, at check in the receptionist at hotel could have been more helpful & even smile, to be in a customer facing environment you have got to be interested in your customers and say hello! The room was lovely but was above hotel bar, smokers gathered below & was a bit noisy. the shower each morning was too hot to stand under & I like the shower hot. the final night someone had set off the fire alarm @ 1am in the morning & was so hard getting back to sleep, i asked reception why this had been set off & was advised oh that happens sometimes, luckily it was not a fire. Breakfast was good but tables too close together you heard every conversation, dinner was also included in the deal & was just okay very little too choose from, dessert was good. the little dark haired girl was great in the restaurant, very pleasant & hard working. we walked into town & it took about 30mins, 5 mins drive, plenty to eat in town, good shopping, salthill 5mins drive

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Westwood. We were dissapointed to read about your comments in relation to your experience with our reception team and please rest assured that they will be followed up here at the hotel. I apologise for the fire alarm going off during your stay - faults can happen with a system as complex as this from time to time however well maintained it is. With regards to the room that was allocated to you I would explain that we always endeavor to allocate the most suitable room for each guest depending on the reasons for their stay with us - it would appear however that our system for doing so failed on this ocassion and I apologise that your sleep was disturbed by other business in the hotel - a restful night is indeed paramount to an enjoyable stay. The issue with the shower in your room has since been rectified. I do hope that your experience will not deter you from returning to us on some future date at which time I would be glad for you to contact me directly so that I can take personal care of your reservation.
