Stayed here on 26th August for our wedding anniversary on a room, dinner and breakfast rate which was very good value considering we had one of the four poster rooms.
We actually got married in this hotel 10 years ago so it's a favourite of ours, since then it has changed owners however still maintains the level of charm and quiet sophistication you look for in a hotel like this compared to a big brand name hotel.
We were given a complimentary glass of bubbly when we came down for our evening meal which we had in the lounge while perusing the menu.
As always the meals in the hotel are extremely tasty, the pudding especially since I had some of the Simply ice cream (you can buy from Waitrose) that is probably the tastiest ice cream you'll ever experience!
The staff are mainly Lithuanian and extremely friendly and chatty, couldn't do enough for you.
Breakfast was ample in the morning with the usual help yourself cereals and juice combined with a choice of cooked.
All in all we highly recommend this hotel, I guess if you were visiting Canterbury you need to know you will need a car to get in and out of the City, but of course is far more peaceful and pleasant than any of the other hotels within the City walls in my opinion.
One slight mention that the water pressure could have been a little more as experienced in the shower.
