We had a (nice also) suite, very spacious with a living room, bathroom and a kitchen in the basement of the hotel :-(
First time ever (and probably last) when we pay over 200 per night to have a room in a basement!
The hotel is very well located in Vieux Quebec, close to the Chateau Frontenac, plenty of very nice restaurants, shopping’s (expensive) and beautiful see sights over the St Lawrence river.
Old and dusty, if you like modern and clean try a different place!

Room tip: Old and dusty, if you like modern and clean try a different place!

We had a "signature" room at the top floor and paid the signature price. I would have settled for less but it was the last room available. The room was quite roomy by Old Quebec standard. You can see the exposed beam and original stone work. It had a Jacuzzi that we refused to use. We never trust hotel Jacuzzi anyway. It also has a fireplace, fridge and microwave. I have to say it is very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, the value is average. But I digress. The location is good although many hotels are even closer to the major sites. The walking is enjoyable so it doesn't matter. The staff varied a lot. Some were extremely helpful. Some, however, were very cool. I am used to being greeted every time you. Not here. Maybe this is the phenomenon in the summer when they have so many tourists. I definitively felt that the locals and hotel staff in general are much friendlier during shoulder season than the summer.

Room tip: Every room is different in this old property. We had the room 500. It's very spacious with modern furnishing.

The only nice things about the package was the bottle of wine and the central location to the Old Quebec tourist areas. The room was a disappointment nowhere near romantic or like any on-line in the hotels advertising. The sink is outside the bathroom yet the towels and soap were in the bathroom. The dried flower arrangement at the window as well as the basket on the coffee table were outdated and dull There was an unpleasant odor in the room esp. the bathroom when closed up - the maid forgot to empty the trash can in there, not sure it that was the smell... If we wanted coffee in the morning there was a charge for it, breakfast was around the corner at a cost which is fine and the vending machine cost no less that $2 for a small candy bar.... The view out back was at a dusty dirt area, an old corrugated tin wall, peeling paint and a fire escape too far for us to reach if need be. The room was small, dark and the wall the bed was on was behind the reception desk - not much of a problem unless someone banged/hit the wall.
However, we made the best of our stay despite the disappointment of not getting a room like we saw on the web site. The crew that was working when we checked in helped to make that part of the stay enjoyable as they were very friendly and willing to do anything we needed. The problem with check-in was the small lobby was filled with luggage because the staff was checking in people for the four chain's area hotels.
We would not go back to the Acadia

Dear guest,
Thank you for taking time to share your comment about our hotel.
We're really sorry that your stay didn't met your expectation. But we do have more than 9 rooms category in small 40 rooms hotel, and you do choose the more basic one. If we have chance to welcome you again and we do hope to have this chance, I do recommend you at least a Superior Room for a romantic stay.
Regards,
Sébastien Collin

Excellent location in the old town and pleasant, clean room albeit a bit small. Very helpful and responsive bilingual staff who were very personable and professional. Other travelers apparently had trouble with the WIFI but I used mine extensively and had no difficulty.

This small budget inn is centrally located near most sights. Rooms on top floor were small and clean, with basic amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was relatively big for such a small facility. Charming lobby and friendly staff, so overall a good choice.
