“very nice hotel in quaint area of Toronto”

We recently stayed at this particular hotel and cannot say enough good things about it. It was located a very short distance from many attractions and being situated in the middle of Yorkville there were lots of interesting shops and resturants as well as many local characters.
The service was excellent and the view from the top floor resturant was next to none. The bed were extra large and very very comfortable. They are in the progress of building a new one not far from the old one and cannot wait for that one to open.

Thank you very much for your note. It's wonderful to hear when a guest writes that they cannot say enough good things about our hotel! We are very excited about our new hotel too - it's scheduled to open this Summer 2012, and I'm sure that you'll be pleased to hear that it's located just two blocks away from the previous location, steps from the great cafes, shopping, and museums. Our new hotel will feature sunlight-filled guestrooms with large bathrooms, a 30,000 square foot luxury urban spa, and Cafe Boulud and dbar by international restaurateur and Chef Daniel Boulud. I am very much looking forward to welcoming you back to Four Seasons Hotel Toronto soon.

Kind Regards,

“A poor excuse for a hotel”

First, let me start by saying that I have had wonderful experiences at Four Seasons hotels around the world (Paris, London, Istanbul, Maui, etc.). However, the Four Seasons hotel in Toronto is a sad, pitiful joke. The restaurant (Avenue) has the rudest seating staff you could ever imagine. The restaurant manager is completely unconcerned about how badly customers are treated and is not at all interested in trying to set an example to the other employees.

I will never, ever stay or dine at the Four Seasons in Toronto again. It is a poor excuse for a hotel and is doing a lot of damage to a brand that is known elsewhere as a five-star hotel chain. The one in Toronto is barely a two-star.

“Definitely not the best Four Seasons”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 March 2012

I understand the hotel is soon to close, and to be converted into residence apartments.
Rooms are large but old, and not to FS perfect standards. And no door stoppers in rooms, so one keeps hearing doors slamming every now and then. Service on the other hand was almost perfect. I had room service once and late dinner at the bar and food/service was excellent. Housekeeping efficient and polite (although should check Ihome clock time display). Concierge and receptionist staff are very helpful.
Breakfast: no buffet, a la carte only with irregular service.

I look forward visiting the new FS Toronto next time.

“A very good hotel in the heart of Toronto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2012

Your stay at the Four Seasons will be excellent. You are near great restaurants and high end shops. The Royal Ontario Museum is just a few steps away.

Room Tip: Get a suite up high. There is no noise at all.

“Luxury combined with excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 March 2012

I had a one night stay for a business meeting. The quality of the furnishings and linens was excellent. L'Occitane toiletries were lovely. My only small quibbles were the lack of a coffee maker and also the bath was smaller than I would have liked. I put my salt/slush stained boots out for cleaning and this hotel beat all others in the quality of the cleaning/polishing job they did.

The food was excellent, and the service at all times superb. Everyone - wait staff, housekeeping, desk staff - was uniformly courteous and pleasant without being obsequious. I was sorry that this was just a one night stay.

Room Tip: Corner rooms (floor number +18 on each floor) are bright and airy with a panoramic vista and a large...
