Older structure, showing it's age. Pretty hard to keep a place like that clean. My (non-smoking....yeah right) room was not too too bad, considering it was most likely a sweat lodge the weekend before. I am suprised I didn't catch some sort of contagious disease 2 weeks later. The phone didn't work, so my wife had the front desk send someone to checkon me in my room. I heard the knock (I was in the tub), and replied. The lady came in saying "hello? Hello? Hello?" If she had shut up for 2 nano-seconds she would have heard me answering. But....no....she kept on acomin' through the front door, and then the bathroom door. She never stopped until she was standing in the bathroom...where she proceeded to explain why she was there. Ummm but she wasn't looking me in the eyes. Whatever. Me and my rubber ducky don't mind. I covered up R D's private parts with a towel before she got a good look at his....you know. (he is very self concious about ....you know) Anyhow....moving right along. the staff were very helpful, I got a room didn't I? I had left some important items in my room a week earlier when I was an inmate there, but no-one seemed to know anything about it, or who to ask, or what to do. So they weren't very helpful. I took the shuttle to the airport, and I made sure my bags were safely stowed. I was out having a smoke earlier and the shuttle was leaving.....with the back door swinging open. Me and RD tried to flag her down, get her attention, anything...but she made a u-turn at the end of the parking lot, came back and drove within 20 feet of us and did not hear, or see us. She didn't look in the mirro and see the door open, and did not see the luggage falling out of the van. (she must have got all the way to the airport because she didn't come back for it for quite awhile.)
Breakfast was not too bad. TV remote worked, toilet flushed, pop machine ate the first twoonie, (that is the standard peace offering) and blessed me with a can of the flavour requested. I guess they get an "E" for effort.
