“Friendly and Helpful Staff”

Have stayed here a few times over the years, nice lobby, good restaurant and very close to the airport. It is an older hotel, the rooms are a bit worn looking, but clean. All staff we encountered, even cleaning personnel, were very nice and friendly. The rates are reasonable, and it's easy to get around from here, as Arthur St. is one of the main thoroughfares in Thunder Bay.

“Great place to stay, I will be back”

I have stayed at the travelodge a few times now and I have never been dissappointed, the staff is the most friendly staff I ever encountered. The rooms are well supplied and if you have an issue they will make it up to you. When you stay there they make you feel at home and will bend over backwards to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I will return because when I left I knew that the people I met really CARED AND THAT IS IMPORTANT TO ME. It was not only about the business but about the person,
WAY TO GO!!!

“NOISY, NOISY, NOISY and good luck finding the entrance at night!!!!”

We stayed at this last night, the third time I have stayed at this location. The entrance on Arthur street is alomost impossible to find at either day or night! It is not marked, it is awkwardly located, and it is not anywhere near the actual front entrance of the hotel! If you miss it the first time, as we did, you have to go through the lights directly ahead adn turn arounf and attempt to find it again1 what a nightmare! this is so easily fixed I can;t beleive they haven't dealt with it yet! One easy to spot sign claerly stating "entrance" would be welcome! And the rooms...they are obviously made of paper as at midnight we felt like we were in the next room where a conversation was going on and we could make out every single word! I mean every word! And they weren't even that loud! Terrible hotel...last time for me at this hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience at our property. I am sorry you had such a hard time finding our property - we will certainly be taking a closer look at our directional signage in an attempt to make it easier to navigate to.
I am a little surprised at the noise problem that your experienced. Our hotel has security on staff from midnight to 8 am each night, and our front desk are prompt to address any noise concerns. The construction of the hotel is concrete block, so normal noises such as speaking, or a regular volume TV set generally do not travel between rooms.
I sincerely hope that you will give our property another try in the future. This fall we will be undergoing some renovations including new carpets, mattresses, and bedding, in an effort to create a more comfortable stay for our guests.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property. I am sorry that you found the carpet dirty in your guest room. I assure you cleanliness is something that we take seriously. We have recently changed the furniture in most of our standard guest rooms, and although the carpet do need replacing soon, we have an ongoing cleaning program to ensure carpets are kept in presentable condition.
I am glad to hear you liked our lobby - we have a lot of comments from guests who find it a warm and inviting spot to sit by the fireplace and relax.
I sincerely hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to our hotel at some time.

Stayed at Travelodges in the US and they are 2-star hotels. However, this one deserves at least 1 more star. It was cleaner than the others and staff was friendly and helpful. The reason we chose this hotel was because we were traveling with our dog and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Indoor pool was nice, sauna was clean & relaxing, fitness center was adequate.

Recently we have been changing the furniture in our standard rooms to create a more comfortable stay for our guests.
