“Good value for your money. Friendly. As good as chain hotels.”

Stayed there over Labor Day weekend. We had unit 4. There are about 12 units in the place. The reviews about parties and noise were not what we experienced. It is located on a major street, but just the regular traffic you would normally experience in a small town. There was a limited selection of rooms when we got there, we didn't reserve in advance, but we got the kitchenette and two twin beds for about $60 CDN a night which was at least 20 to 30 cheaper than the larger chains. The quality was Super 8 or maybe a good Motel 6. They do have a website www.oldcountrymotel.com. They also had on site laundry. No breakfast in the morning, but several good selections down the road. Also important to note is that their non-smoking rooms were really non-smoking. My friend is very sensitive to that. She checked out the room before we handed over our credit card and gave it the ok. If there was a down point it was the piece of duct tape on the joint of the carpet. The room probably should just have the carpet replaced. Also I didn't see an ice machine, but I never did ask. They did have a fridge and freezer in our room though. Also came with dishes and pots and pans to use.

“Noisy...No sleep here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2008

Room was ok. Noise was not tolerable. There was a party in the parking lot just outside our room at 2am. Ended up checking out shortly after 3am with party going strong. Most of people at party were not staying at motel! Dont stay here if you want to sleep! Owner refused to do anything to quiet party!

The owner is the sweetest and kindest, we enjoyed our week long stay very much. Thanks so much Wendy. Will definately stay next year when I come to visit my granddaughter.

“Great Value”

I stayed here with a friend for two nights on a random weekend road trip. I can't say enough good things about it. The owner lives on site and is EXTREMELY nice and friendly. The rooms were spotless and it's even a dog friendly place. It's not very far from downtown on one of the main roads and was definitely in budget.
