Stayed here twice within 3 days and hotel is the closest to my client's office.
The only thing in common on the two stays was the slow service at the front desk. This 2nd stay is terrible. TV remote didn't work. Then no Internet. and no answers as to why. Promises to call back within 10 minutes were not kept. Front desk said they were in touch with the ISP, but then couldn't tell me what company it was. They said there was no Internet on the 5th and 6th floor and after 2.5 hours, they offered to move me to another floor - they thought there might be Internet there - but only because no one had complained. Great logic. Finally got a connection - however the Days Inn version of high speed Internet is 2.34 Mbps for downloads and 0.6 Mbps for uploads. Most homes get 20 for downloads, and high speed is over 50 Mbps.
Rooms are not sound proofed - can hear the housekeeping staff through the door. Heating unit is not central - it's in the wall under the window, and loud.
Beds are comfortable (2 Queen's this time, King last time)..
Continental breakfast in cafe barely qualifies - instant oatmeal, cold cereals, toast, coffe & tea.
Parking is free but could be full necessitating a long walk with your luggage (go to the back door to shorten the walk but watch your step since the walkway is icy in winter and not well cleared.
Attached restaurant - The BREW Table - which was just renovated (it used to be D'Arcy McGee's) is quite a contrast. Good service and good food. Too bad it isn't open for breakfast.
Bottom line: if you have another choice, take it. If not, be prepared for poor, unresponsive service in the hotel, and unreliable infrastructure.
