We both experienced exceptional Canadian hospitality during our first class stay with Dennis and Christine at. 6 Oak Haven !

We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived and by the time we left (sadly!) we felt like family.

We enjoyed having 'free run' of the lovely lounge and dining area and during our five night stay we often sat at the table and chairs by the kitchen and back door to watch the birds in the peaceful garden.

The bedrooms and en-suites, infact the whole house for that matter is beautifully decorated and scrupulously clean and welcoming.

It is apparent that both Dennis and Christine love having their guesthouse and welcoming new guests and this can be evidenced by their 110% total commitment to their guests having a great stay. They kindly provided us with a beautifully illustrated map of the area and Dennis suggested wonderful local eateries and vineyards.

Christine's wonderful breakfasts are mouth-watering and she takes care
in cooking something different every day and Dennis's muffins and cakes are baked daily too and taste superb!

We enjoyed 6 full and varied days in Niagra-On-The-Lake and I just wish that it was a bit nearer home here in Scotland because we would end up staying with Dennis and Christine every few months!

We would certainly not stay anywhere else when staying in Niagra-on-the Lake, 6 Oak Haven is truly a 'home from home' and Christine and Dennis 'made' our holiday.

Kathleen and I have visited Niagara-on-the-Lake several times now, especially during the wine festival. Of all the bed and breakfast homes we have stayed at, Oak Haven is top of our list. The first thing we noticed was that as soon as we walked in the door, we were made to feel like family that was visiting after a long absence. Dennis and Christine, our hosts, have this way about them that makes you feel comfortable and welcomed instantly. Their knowledge of the area, it's vineyards and restaurants were truly helpful in planning our daily excursions. Our suite was spotless and most comfortable with everything we needed. No detail had been overlooked. The breakfasts in the morning were simply scrumptious especially the fresh baked local peaches drizzled with pure maple syrup. The back gardens reminded us of a nature oasis with water features, lush greenery and quaint gazebo to sit in and take in the peaceful surroundings. We spent our first evening outside on the patio with friends enjoying fruit and cheeses along with some wine that we had brought with us. Christine had dressed the patio table with a lovely table cloth and turned on some patio lights that created a lovely ambiance for our conversations. Kathleen and I would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone wishing a first class accommodation with a very personal touch. Definitely 5 star rating from us. Looking forward to our next visit with Christine and Dennis.

Whether your stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake is to take in the Shaw Festival, or to go to the Falls or for a winery weekend, I can't think of a better place to stay than with Christine and Dennis at 6 Oak Haven.

This is our umpteenth visit to NOTL and we have stayed at a different B&B each time. I believe we have found a home base and will be partaking of Christine and Dennis' wonderful breakfasts on the next visit. Theirs is a beautiful home with a gorgeous, tranquil garden. The rooms are comfortable. The hospitality is above anything we have experienced thus far. As far as breakfast goes, you will not walk away dissatisfied, I can assure you.

All in all, 6 Oak Haven is a wonderful place to lay your head and dream of the wonders you have seen the day before and the ones you will see the next morning. Highly recommended.

We loved it so much there at the end of Winter that we decided to go back in Summer and take some friends with us!

Nothing has changed – Dennis and Christine are still as warm and hospitable as ever and the breakfasts are still as delicious. I adore the house and the rooms - the entire place is spotless, smells beautiful and is thoughtfully decorated throughout.

The only difference this time was that we got to see their beautiful garden in full bloom! It was so peaceful to sit outside under the gazebo in the afternoon, listening to the sounds of the little waterfall trickling down.

Dennis and Christine really go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. I thoroughly recommend Oakhaven to anyone travelling through Niagara-on-the-Lake.

We will be going back there again, for sure! :-)
