We stayed here for 2 nights back in June 2011. I had 'liked' them on Facebook prior to my visit to keep up to date with any news and events so they also included me in a 25% discount promotion they were running for my stay! The room was a good size for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, it was clean and tidy, I has requested a cot and a fridge prior to our stay and this was all arranged with no problems at all. The staff were all lovely and helpful and what can I say about those breakfast pancakes??? Well, we went back for seconds both mornings!! I just love Niagara-on-the-Lake and would tell anyone visiting Toronto to take the time to go visit and I would recommend the Colonel Butler as a place to stay.

We wanted to get away for couple of nights in wine country and while searching on line I saw the Colonel Butler and was immediately attracted to the "look" of the place. After arriving we weren't disappointed. We wanted to do some hiking and visit some wineries and found that we were very close to both. The friendly staff was more than helpful in providing us with maps, directions, and suggestions. The clean comfortable room was very affordable and our stay was very pleasant. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Inn for one night recently. The cost of the room was excellent compared to other hotels in NOL. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the front desk staff were nice. Only drawback was the 'enhanced' continental breakfast. Not sure what part was enhanced. There were hard boiled eggs and a waffle maker in addition to toast, muffins, juice , coffee, tea, cereal, yoghurt etc. But then again it was included in the price of the room which was about $100 for a Saturday night so really, what's there to complain about. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Just returned from a weekend in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake. We have stayed in the area many times and thought this time we would try staying at a hotel instead of a B&B. The staff at the Colonel Butler Inn were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. There is a continental breakfast included, which was very good. You could make your own waffles, which were delicious! A newspaper was delivered to our door. There was a coffee maker in the room but no refridgerator, which would have been nice. I believe they will store perishable items for you but it would be nicer to be able to keep in your room. They are located on the main road into town, probably a 15 minute walk to the main shopping area and a short drive to many great wineries. As an alternative to a B&B, we felt this was a good place to stay and very affordable.
