“Perfect Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This is a beuatiful Inn that deserves to be in the Ontario's Finest Inn's directory. The rooms are beautiful, have lots of character and extremely clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and the restaurant downstairs had alot of old world charm with amzing food. The only things that perhaps prevented this from being a 5 star were that the inn was quite noisy at night both outside on the street and in the restaurant (the noise travels up the staircase to the rooms) and that the room was quite cold and we could not adjust the temperature in the room. Pretty minor issues in the grand scheme of things. We would definitely visit again!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the road are a bit noisy. The ones at the back are facing the golf course and lake.

“Happy to have stayed here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

One highlight of a recent trip to Ontario was a 4 night stay at the Charles Inn.
The location was perfect with only a short walk into town.
My wife and I prefer luxury boutique style hotels and the Charles Inn falls right into this category.
We had the Verandah Room for our stay and it suited us fine.
The food at the Charles in was first class albeit a bit expensive. Still there are plenty of other great casual restaurants close by if you do not want the fine dining experience every night.
We were able to achieve a preferential rate for our stay by searching on line so bear this in mind if you are planning to stay here.

Room Tip: Only saw the Verandah Room on the ground floor but it was very good.

“We will be back again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

We have enjoyed NOTL 5 times now and we hope to be back next year. We were pleasantly surprised to have our room upgraded to the Verandah room. Nice space with its own verandah, gas fp and decent tub and shower. The Inn is very close to the theatres and shopping so you do not need to plan a DD, just a pleasant walk. The dinner is first rate and the service attentive but not annoying. The bed is comfortable, the housekeeping superb, and the staff friendly and helpful should you need information or advice about what to do. The local foods and wine are exceptional and comparatively priced for quality offerings.

Room Tip: If absolute quiet is a must, then the upper floor would be better

“Dinner at Charles Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

I rated room "1" as we didn't stay there we stayed at Harbour House and part of the package was dinner at the Charles Inn. The food is excellent no complaints on that end and the service also. My only issue is the wine as they only serve Ontario wine and I feel it is extremely over priced. I know we were in Niagara but you need to cater to yoru customer and many don't drink Ontario wines to have a few Italian and Austrailan would be nice gives you customers the option.

“Very Relaxing Stay...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

Had the opportunity to stay at the Charles Inn over Easter Weekend 2011 in the Daisy room. Charming room, excellent service and would recommend dinner here even if you aren't staying at the Inn. Some might find it a bit out of the way for walking to the main theatre for the Shaw - but it's really not. Hope to be back again in the future.
