where do i begin. i stayed at the Blackstone inn in Aug. 2009 for 4 nights. our rm was not made up, each day i had to get our own towels and face cloths, found a piece of pot (drugs) under the dresser,no phones in the rooms and the bedding had holes and dusty fur ball blankets. but still i did not complain. but on our last night, there were several young males who checked in next to us. they were on the balcony at 4 am out there doing drugs,making all kinds of noise, and the foul language. needless to say we did not have the number of the office in our rm and we did not feel safe to leave our rm and go down to the office so we left early in the morning and then kindly mention our concerns during the night. we were treated badly for even having a concern. the motel worker mocked us, told fine don't come back and then started yelling up to the guys in a friendly manner telling them we were complaining about them. at this point i wanted out so bad i fear for our lives and i told my husband to just drive.

The room was older but fairly clean. We had difficulty accessing internet. Had to have front desk move their base so we could get internet upstairs above them. It bothered me that there was no lock on the inside door - no chain, no bar, nothing. The door locked from the outside but that was all - no double checking lock from inside. The hotel was quiet but had garbage outside by the stairwell. The garbage was there that evening and the next day. They were nice and let us leave out car parked there after we checked out. That was really helpful. It was ok for what we needed - a safe place for two ladies to sleep and clean up in. A little overpriced but you paid for the area. We were in walking distance to the strip so we didn't have to pay parking.

For a getaway weekend with a great location for the budget consious, this one is worth looking for. The rooms were not fancy, but clean. Expect no phones, no coffee makers, or ice in the rooms, BUT you have cable TV and comfortable beds ALL for a great price. Saved on parking because of its close location, and the staff were VERY accomidating and helpful. Will be returning this summer for a stay.

Comfortable motel for those on a budget. Located close to the falls and downtown. Rooms were nothing fancy but clean. People in the room beside us were noisy but we can't fault the Blackstone for that. Pool was unusable in cold months.
