We stayed at the Seacliffe Inn on a Wednesday night in November. When I first went in to inquire about availability, there wasn't anyone at the front desk. We came back 45 minutes later and there wasn't anyone at the desk again. I found a lady who worked next door and she went and found someone for me. I checked us in and when we entered the room the first thing I noticed was that the thermostat was set at 74 degrees. I tried to lower the temperature but wasn't able to. We opened a window and that was how we lowered the temperature. The other thing I noticed was that there weren't any "do not disturb cards" to put on the door. But then I thought, we're checking out by 11 am, and I've already paid for the room so we won't be disturbed
The next morning at 10:30 there was a knock on the door from housekeeping wanting to make up the room. I told her from behind the door that I wasn't dressed and my husband was in the shower. She asked if we were checking out that day and I said we will be out by 11 am. At a few minutes to 11 someone knocked on the door again. We were almost out , so I let her in the room. I really felt that I was being chased out of the Inn. We have never had a visit from housekeeping before checkout time at any place we've ever stayed, let alone two calls within a half an hour.
I went downstairs to return the key and also to let them know about the heating control not working and the lack of a card for the door, but again there wasn't anyone at the desk. I found someone in a back office and gave her the key.
So in summary, the room was spacious and clean but they really need to work on their customer service.
