“Great service and best location!!!!”

We came to Kingston to visit family and take in a show. The location of this hotel was beyond perfect. Room was reasonably priced. Everything was close by. Surrounded by the limestone buildings. I always rate my hotels on service and they were excellent. The only reason this hotel gets a four is the rooms are a bit small. However they do have adjoining rooms that are available and for two people it's more than adequate. For an over night stay with kids the rooms were also fine. We had a great view of the lake which I really wasn't expecting. My children and I used the pool and hot tub. Saw the gym over looking the pool area. Front staff beyond wonderful! On our way we picked something up in our tire. Flat! That night too tired to deal with it. In the morning while we were fixing the problem they allowed us a 2:00 check out. This gave my husband the time to get a new tire and a place for the kids and I to wait. When we went to check out they asked if we were all right and if we needed anymore time. Made us feel like they really cared. Restaurant and bar in hotel. Great breakfast place across from hotel. Outdoor skating rink across the street - in the summer apparently a Farmers Market. Walked to our concert - two blocks over. Went to a great restaurant two doors down. Lots of great shops, restaurants, cafes and a block walk to the lake front. My husband and I have plans to come again for a weekend and we will certainly stay here.

“Absolutely amazing service!”

This hotel was comfortable, welcoming, extremely clean and the fresh smell of cut grass in the lobby is wonderful.

Despite the messy, slushy weather, the floors were kept spotless.

I must extend my appreciation of the front desk staff. Saying that they were top notch is an understatement! They were accomodating, timely and went above and beyond (with graciousness) when it came to my requests.

“Girls Weekend in Kingston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

I saw this hotel on tripadvisor and noticed all the good reviews. I contacted the hotel directly and explained that myself and my daughter were meeting my friend and her two daughters in Kingston for a girls weekend. They hotel put together a wonderful package for us.

The rooms were lovely, clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They even helped us out late one evening by providing us with a small screwdriver we needed to open the back of something to replace the batteries.

We ate in the restaurant twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Both meals were amazing.

The girls had fun swimming in the pool and remarked on how nice the new pool liner was.

This hotel is close to everything you need downtown. I would recommend becoming a Starwood Preferred Guest and booking on one of the top two floors in the hotel. These rooms are for preferred customers and have extra perks such as lovely duvets, robes, complementary water and toiletries.

We will be back. We are already talking about a March break trip. Special thank you to the manager Rob Yellowley, for helping me to plan this weekend. I will recommend your hotel to all my friends and acquaintances.

Room Tip: When you book, tell the hotel which you prefer, a city view or a water view.

“Great weekend stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

Husband and I stayed here for a weekend in November for a wedding. As a SPG Plat member we got upgraded to a junior suite which was a bit more spacious. The room was clean and modern. Bathrooms are relatively new. We had contacted the manager before our arrival and he was very attentative and responsive. We found him very friendly and accomodating. The hotel is in a great location - close to all the amenities. Parking is easy as you get in and out priviledges. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again.

“Business or Pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

I stay at this hotel for business quite regularly and will soon be staying for pleasure as well. The hotel is in a great location of downtown Kingston by the water and offers some great views as well. The rooms and amenities are high standard and parking is available for charge. Above all else the staff are welcoming, professional and of top standard compared to all hotels that I have stayed in throughout my travels.

I would recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure.
