Me and my fiancé recently stayed in the Hawian suite. It was absolutely wonderful! A very nice tropical room with the biggest jacuzzi and steam shower I've ever seen. Not to mention all of the candles! It was just beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly, dinner was excellent and the cheese cake. Divine. We have a plan to go back until we've tried all of the rooms! Definitly a nice little gem in the exchange district. Can't wait to go back!

Thank you for your kind review. Hawaii is our tropical hideaway suite with the mountain of lava rock that surrounds the hot tub. It is nice to hear that you appreciated the large size of the hot tub and steam unit in the room. I try to recommend dinner for two to guests and the cheesecake is always very good. It is good to know you rated our cleanliness, value, room design and service all 5 stars. We are always trying to exceed guest expectations and it seems we have done so with you. Please keep recommending us to friends and family. We hope to see you again soon.

Stayed in the Jakarta Room. My husband wanted to go all out for a romantic night. He doesn't do romantic so this was a really big thing fro him. The room smelled stale and the towels smelled awful. Some of the furniture was filthy! Especially the red lounge chair. It had stains all over it. The bed with the grey sheets was Very uncomfortable. Pool table was old and staff asked that we don't have sex on it! Yuk! We wanted to play darts but the light was burned out. Staff said they'd bring us a new bulb but never came back. I know for romance you want to get away from phones but then you had to keep leaving the room for any kind of room service. Thought we had the balcony to ourselves but was told owner might show up for a smoke. What was great about our stay. Well the waterfall hot tub was great and our meal was very good but for the price of a one night stay I'd buy my own hot tub.

I am sorry to hear about your less than impressive stay. The comment regarding the pool table was inappropriate. I have talked with our staff regarding this. We usually score very well in the cleanliness category. Our cleaning staff normally do not miss anything in the rooms - even when the suite is as large as our 3,000 sq.ft. Jakarta suite. Jakarta has a large 400 sq.ft. balcony. The owner has access to this balcony too, however, he normally will use his other balcony that faces Arthur Street when he knows Jakarta is in use. It is nice to know that you thought the waterfall hot tub and dinner was really good.
It is obvious that this night we could have preformed better. We would have preferred to hear that you loved the overall room design and great customer service that so many of our guests have received. Please call me anytime to further discuss your stay. We would love to see you come again and experience a great escape at a good value as so many others have had.

My wife and I stayed here in the Morocco room recently. After an unexpected 11 hour delay in arriving in Winnipeg due to an aircraft maintenance issue, we arrived at this lovely hotel. We had ordered the dinner package, but were worried that our late arrival had ruined it. The meal was awesome. The staff stayed late to see us in, get the room ready (lots of candles) and serve the meal. The room was lovely, the big whirlpool tub was fabulous after the stress of delayed and missed flights. We took a walk around the exchange district in the morning, but had to check out that day as we were going to a conference that was some distance away. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in Winnipeg.... looking forward to trying the China suite. The Staff here are lovely and helpful. There are no elevators so pack lightly.

It is really good to know that even though you arrived later than planned your stay with us was excellent. Morocco is one of our waterfall hot tub suites and is particularly soothing after a long plane ride. The steam room and overall design usually puts guests at ease. Dining in the suite is really a great idea. Our Italian dinner for two has no preservatives or additives and the flavors are very tasty. I am glad you really enjoyed our food. Our location is in the heart of Winnipeg's Historic Exchange District and a great area to shop and dine out. Next time you are in town we hope to have you stay more than one day so that you can really relax. Until then we thank you for your kind review. It was great having you here with us.

Thank you for your kind review. It is great to know that you had such a good time that you are planning to come back again so soon. Morocco is a lovely suite with the waterfall hot tub. Our new African Safari suite has a really relaxing infra red sauna, steam room and hot tub. It also has a really great private outdoor space that we think is a great addition to the suite.
Having dinner in the suite is really a great way to enjoy a very good meal without ever leaving your themed getaway. Couples need couple time and we look forward to serving you again in the near future!

My boyfriend and I decided we wanted a nice weekend away. We got the Rome themed room. It was amazing. It honestly felt like we were away. The staff were very pleasant and nice. We enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel when we checked in. We had such a romantic and great time that we decided to make this a yearly
Thing. I highly suggest this hotel.

It is really great to know you enjoyed your weekend in Rome. Rome has a very romantic feel. The authentic artwork and statues and the grapevine canopy overhanging the large hot tub add to the luxurious feel of the suite. We are really keen on sharing the history of our property with guests. Our building location in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange shopping and restaurant district add to the romantic feel of a weekend escape. We hope to see you return again soon. Our new rooms should be ready in 2015.
