I was not expecting much as I had read a number of reviews but as it was in the dead of winter, I must have lucked out. I was given 'the best room in the house' according to the desk agent. The price was right too. VERY reasonable. He said I might want a long bath. Unknowingly I said, "Oh I just do showers." It wasn't until I went up the (very old and a bit scary elevator) and into my room that I realized why he said that. Not only was the room huge - it had one of the largest king sized beds I have ever seen and there was still lots of room around it - but the bathroom was divine! It had a flat screen TV (viewable from the bath and the sink), a separate room for the toilet and another glass-walled in separate room for the shower and the bathtub. When I saw the size of the 3' high and almost the same wide tub and all the whirlpool jets I understood what he meant. And after a long drive, it was heavenly. The whirlpool jets were the most powerful ones I've experienced outside of an actual whirlpool/jacuzzi. It was amazing. I put the TV on and laid back and was gently pummeled for a good half hour at least. Really did the trick.
After a very restful night on a really good, solid bed/mattress, I went into the 'shower room' again this time to have a shower. It too was amazing.... I had the upper frontal shower had AND a huge raindrop shower head above. Plus there was a nice big wooden bench to sit on.
This was really an excellent way to wind down my vacation and get ready for the last leg of my trip. Excellent room. Better than excellent bathroom.
I can't remember the room number but it was on the 2nd floor almost directly above the front desk.
