Quiet end of Penticton not too far from downtown, a couple hundred feet from Shaka lake, stayed in the two bedroom suite. Barbecues ,chair and tables in the court yard for guest to use and small indoor pool
Nothing fancy just good value for the money.

We stayed the week of Ironman as my husband competed in the event. We found this to be a great location for Ironman. (you can walk to Bike out/bike in, run in/ run out). You do have to drive to the start and finish (only a few minutes) but it was such a great location for the kids that didn't matter. Their were other competitors and families staying there, which was great. There is an indoor pool at the hotel and the beach is a very short walk, also a great little splash park and large playground near the beach.
The property is on the older side but our room was updated with new kitchen and the bathroom looked new. Most of the hotels in Penticton are on the older side. And after ringing around 2 years in a row they are all around the same price this time of year. Our room was a one bedroom with a small kitchen and bed in living room. It was on the smaller side but had everything we needed. The best thing was it was VERY clean. I was very pleased with how friendly both the owners and cleaners were.
My daughter loved making friends with other kids and the owners put on a little movie night on (every night) giving them popcorn and slushy drinks. Free wireless and around the corner is an icecream shop. Also had breakfast at the little store across the street and it was great. Their are BBQs to use outside and chairs and picnic tables. It is not a fancy place but it will be the only place we stay in Penticton from now on.

We've returned to Beachside Resort again this year, this time for 18 days. Everything remains excellent - location, movies for the kids including free popcorn and slushies each night, BBQs for cooking on wonderfully hot Okanagan evenings, free wireless internet, and location (had to say it again). The owners do an amazing job!

This year, we had a slight snag when we moved rooms part way through our visit and forgot some food in the freezer. The owners offered (and we accepted) free ice-cream cones to compensate for the mishap by cleaning staff. The offer covered our loss, and was done quickly and with sincerity - thanks John and Trudy.

Beachside offers recycling of deposit beverage containers, which is appreciated. All other recyclables are sent to the landfill. We saved our recyclables and found that BFI Canada accepts mixed-stream recycling for free at 1200 Carmi Avenue (one stream for plastics, paper, tins, and one for glass). The recycling drop-off location is only a few blocks off the path between Skaha and Okanagan Lakes, and only involved about a 5 minute detour. For any visitors to Penticton who want to participate in recycling, I highly recommend this easy option, plus the woman at BFI's front desk was extremely helpful!

All other aspects of our stay at Beachside were, as always, excellent. If you have a family and are planning a visit to Penticton, you can't go wrong with this property. And if you don't have a family, you still can't go wrong.

We stayed for 2 nights at the beachside in August 2011. It was really great. Our kids loved the movies shown outside at night. The on-site jack russels were also fun for them to play with. The location is excellent as the park is just across the street and the beach is just a short walk away.

I paid more here than I did for a suite at the Hilton in Whistler on the same trip, but most of the properties showed no-vacancy, so I suppose that was why.

We had a great time here and would try to negotiate and better rate and would stay here again.
