My husband and I have wine-toured in the Okanagan Valley on several occasions and always spend time on the Naramata Bench. This time we were traveling with my husband's sister and wanted to make sure the trip had a special feature -- a night's stay at the Brin de Soleil.
The suite is decorated in what I think of as "hotel chic"style without clutter and in sophisticated earth tones. I appreciated the attention to detail -- pima cotton sheets, Deserving thyme amenities, Perrier in the fridge. Pat and Janine are congenial and available as needed but respectful of their guests' space.
The view, even on a misty morning, is breathtaking and we sat out on the patio for much of the evening as the sun set over the vineyards and Okanagan Lake and the lights of Penticton started to twinkle. Even though I should not have been checking email and working on vacation, it was easy to connect to the wireless network and it was acceptably fast.
Breakfast, which consisted of an piping-hot omelette, sausages, toast and fresh fruit was lovely - served at the agreed upon time in our suite. My sister-in-law had a special experience and we will definitely return with our friends in the future. Many thanks to Pat, Janine and Diesel.
