Bed was infested with bed bugs (loads of them, must have been there for a while). The rooms have no windows, ventilation or AC. Bar music very loud in rooms, especially when live music plays at the weekends. Bathroom was dirty and whole room smelled of stale urine. No atmosphere, small dingy kitchen is only amenity.
The bar itself is great for a drink, but please stay somewhere else!!!!
There are some great hostels in nanaimo, don't be tempted by this one!
