Rustic, charming, peaceful, are just a few words to descibe Harrison Heritage House and Cottages. My wife & I viewed raccoons frolicking along the Miami River & squirrels in the trees right out of the front window of the dining room while sipping our morning coffee. We would stroll on the beach which was only one block away & make are way over to our favorite breakfast spot "Cookin Kim's Country Cafe" where Kim & her staff always meet you with a smile & hot coffee. "HINT" head there early it's a local hot spot & the food is great (the pies are to die for),you may meet some of locals & if one of them are named Marty your going to have a laugh, he's the local comedian. We then would return to our cottage to make plans for our day, Sonja was very helpful with providing us information for many different activities to do & sights to see. If you want a massage, view a world class flower garden, or go sport fishing, Sonja is the person to ask. If you happen to get too much sun from laying on the beach in front of the 64km long glacier fed Harrison Lake, you can go back to the cottage & cool off inside the naturally cool cottages "Theres nothing like a Siesta in the middle of the afternoon on a queen size pillow top" Once your all rested up & are searching for a icy cold one & great supper, just head over to the Old Settler Pub, the beers cold & the food's great."Oh my I feel another Siesta coming on already" The only complaint I have is that my wife & I had to return home. One week just isn't enough so we will just have to return again & again. Sonja is much more than a host, she makes you feel as if you are part of the wonderful community of Harrison Hot Springs.
