“Lovely”

This is a really great place to stay. We were in the Queen room and it's more like an apartment. Large kitchen/lounge area, modern bathroom and very comfortable king size bed.

The owners are lovely and obviously very passionate about what they do. They gave us loads of tips of places to visit around Jasper and had maps and vouchers for restaurants and cafes in town. The main centre is around a 5 minute walk from the property.

I know some people have said they don't understand how Juniper House can call itself a B&B and I spoke to the owner about this. The reason is the way Tripadvisor and other web sites class it as a B&B rather than perhaps more accurately a guest house. It didn't bother us at all, just bought some cereals and milk from the local supermarket.

Jasper is a great place to stay and I sort of wish I'd booked longer. It has a quieter feel than Banff and a little less touristy.

If you're staying in Jasper, I would highly recommend staying here. Our stay in Jasper was so memorable not least because of our stay here.

This review pertains to the King Suite, not the Queen Suite as the reviewer states. The Queen Suite has a Queen size bed and fewer amenities than stated in the above review of the King Suite.

“Jasper, what a wonderful place.”

We spent three days at Juniper House but wish we could have been there longer. We were in the King room and it had everything we wanted. We knew there was no breakfast and felt it was nice to have a little kitchen so we could get our own food in. We had free coffee vouchers for the local bakery which were very useful and they did everything you would ever want for breakfast and lunch!

The owner gave us loads of information on places to go and was on hand for any other questions we had. We managed most of the places that were recommended to us. Town was just a short walk away, which we always like after a big dinner. Some people have mentioned that the rooms are in the basement, we did not find this an issue as we were out quite a bit of the time. It was warm during the day and we had no issue opening the windows which let in some cool evening air. The window had a screen on it so that no bugs got in.

Jasper is a lovely place to visit, it has a very rustic feeling and very relaxed, we wish we had been there longer and would recommend this as a clean and comfortable place to stay.

“Great place to stay”

Great location, nice and quiet but just a short stroll into town. Owners very helpful.

The rooms are modern, good sized, comfy bed, clean and have a flat screen tv. There is also a fridge. The bathroom is also clean and modern.

I would have to agree with one previous review in that the room we had didnt have much light or ventilation from windows.

Overall this place is very good and good value. My only negative would be that if you are going to claim you are running a B&B then you should be serving breakfast. How can you be one otherwise??

“Clean, but a bit dark”

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, especially the large bathroom.

It is not really a B&B though, as they don't offer breakfast (only coffee). It seems that that holds for several places in Jasper.

What I did not like was tha fact that the room was in the basement, with only relatively small windows. That would be okay, as you don't spend much time in a room when you are in Jasper. However, the windows are arranged in a way that it is almost impossible to open them.

“Great Place to Stay in Jasper!”

The Juniper House is a wonderful place to stay in Jasper! Jen is a great host and went out of her way to make our stay a good experience. When we arrived, Jen sat down with us and went over the hiking, activities and dining in the area. We stayed in the king size suite for 3 nights. Next time we will plan on staying longer! The suite was very clean, and the shower was wonderful which was great after a long day of hiking. Robes and slippers are provided for an extra touch.....very nice! The bed was also very comfortable. There is cable TV or books on the area to read which we enjoyed at night. Dining and shopping are in walking distance. Loved the area and Juniper House. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Jasper. A perfect place to stay!
