“A warm and welcoming stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2012 NEW

Really enjoyable stay. Connie (the owner) was exceptionally informative and knowledgable about the local area really assisting us in planning our stay. The homemade breakfasts set you up for the day, and the rooms were warm, cosy and exactly what we wanted.

“Friendly host and fantastic breakfasts”

This was our second stay at Banff Avenue B&B after a most enjoyable visit several months prior. The rooms and property are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Connie is a friendly, welcoming host and we immediately felt at home. We enjoyed chatting with her, learning about the history of the area as well as places to go for the best scenery or wildlife viewing for the time of year. As an example of her hospitality, she even lent us a can of bear spray which we thankfully didn’t have to use.

Breakfasts were very generous and delicious, consisting of yoghurt, fruit and cooked items which were different every morning. We came back from a hike one afternoon to some freshly baked banana bread which, together with some tea, was a perfect way to unwind. Tea, coffee and biscuits were always available in the kitchen.

Banff Avenue B&B is in a great location being a short walk from the centre of town and with beautiful mountain views from the living room. We enjoyed dining at places that Connie had recommended.

All three rooms have an ensuite. On our two visits, we have stayed in the downstairs bedroom and the upstairs bedrooms on the right. The downstairs bedroom is accessed via the guest sitting room. The upstairs bedroom had a view of snow-capped mountains. Both rooms were comfortable although the downstairs room seemed a bit larger.

Banff Avenue B&B will be our first choice again if we have the opportunity to return to the Rockies and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

“Cozy B&B in a beautiful location with friendly owner”

I stayed at Banff Ave B&B for 4 nights during the Thanksgiving weekend of 2011. I had a very enjoyable time at Banff with Connie being a very helpful and friendly host. The B&B is located very near to Banff downtown and one can get gorgeous views of the snow capped mountains from the living room. Connie guided me everyday on what to see in the area and was also very accommodating in altering my schedule due to the inclement weather in the Icefields Parkway. The breakfasts were sumptuous with nice conversations and we had nice chit-chats during the evening hours with other guests. I would heartily recommend this B&B to other travelers and I think it will be suitable for solo travelers, couples, etc. Look forward to getting another opportunity to stay in this B&B during my probable future trips in the Canadian Rockies area.

“Brilliant place to stay”

We had a great time at this B&B. Conny is such a warm and friendly host. She gave us some great advice on places to go and things to see and also let us stay inside and sit at the fire place reading a book on a rainy day when we didn't feel like going outside. Rooms are spacious, breakfast was great too. The B&B is located perfectly within 2 minutes walking distance of the shopping area downtown. We would love to go back to this place.

“Fantastic B&B”

We stayed at the Banff Avenue B&B for 4 nights in March 2011! Connie the owner is a fantastic host and catered to all our needs. We were the only ones staying there at the time but there are 3 double rooms in total. We were allowed to choose which room we had, tough choice as they were all lovely and very cosy! Comfortable beds, lovely ensuite bathroom with fluffy towels. Spotlessly clean, very quiet (even though its on the highstreet). Very welcoming host and cooked a huge breakfast every morning with a different combination each day! Provided us with somewhere to keep our ski gear too!! About 5 minute walk to the high street shops and restaurants, we recommend to the filet mignon at Bumpers the restaurant down the road, delicious and soooo tender! Enjoy your stay at this lovely B&B!
