I thought this was pretty good value for money. It's a charming little mountain lodge with basic facilities, but very clean and well looked after. Rooms are cleaned daily, beds made etc. which is unusual in a b&b. It's not particularly quiet though - the floors are creaky and walls are thin, but that's just a side effect of being in an old building.
Feels more like an upmarket hostel than a B&B - there's a large sofa and tv area in the dining room and you can come and go as you please. Tea, coffee and toast / bagels are there to help yourself to throughout the day.
The girls are all very nice and helpful - they'd made some delicious raspberry and chcolate muffins one morning and i'd raved about them. I had to leave early, before breakfast, the next day so they put some food aside for me as well as some of the muffins from the day before as they remembered i liked them. I thought that was a nice touch.
So, basic, but good value. Nice staff, good food and great location.
Room Tip: Try not to get a room next to the shared bathroom. Very noisy flush on the toilet!

Thank you for your review! We take great pride in our charming historic B & B establishment and we’re happy you noticed! We like to have our guests feel at home and most tend to enjoy our common areas throughout the day. The raspberry chocolate muffins were a hit all around and the staff enjoy concocting delicious treats for the guests every day! Hope to see you again soon.
