We were in Banff over a holiday weekend and had muddled our dates, so found ourselves with nowhere to stay - having been up and awake for about 22 hours. Then we found the Holiday Lodge, where we were made very welcome. It's been a B and B since the 1940s and there was nothing repro about this place - it's the real deal! The manager told us that it is currently being modernised. In a way that could be a shame. It was small and cosy, comfortable and cheap. Maybe one night was enough, because it's small. But it's hard to fault and the manager was generous with the space and the food.
