“Unforgettable experience!”

Good reception and room service! Clean and large room! Bathroom with bathtub and shower! We can choose whatever we want. The decoration inside the hotel is very very beautiful. Even inside the hotel can be a great sightseeing spot. The price is a little high! Not inside the downtown. Driving car is a better idea.

“Annual ski trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Stayed in January for our annual ski trip, they have a room where skis are stored and boots are on driers overnight so they are nice and warm in the morning the guys in the room are very hepfull and will give you good info on conditions up on the hill as will concierge. It was our anniversary which I had let them know in advance so we had a bottle of champagne in our room on arrival ( nice touch). Winter is low season here so not too busy and not all restaurants open. 15 min walk to town or a couple of minutes on the bus $2 per trip, plenty of good places to eat in town. Outdoor pool and hot tub great after a day skiing especially when its -30,my wife usedthe spa and thought it was terrific, again not busy in the wintertime.Staff are lovely and very helpful they always acknowledge you and go out of there way to assist if they can. This is a great hotel, unfortunately we had some room issues which we felt could have been dealt with better at the time, I have since been in touch with the hotel and they have restored my confidence in their customer service (many thanks to Lori Pitts). So all in all I would recommend this hotel.

“Mountain Castle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We always have an amazing time in Banff and our stay at the Banff Springs hotel was no exception. We spent an afternoon at the Willow Stream Spa and we both said that the massages we got were the best we'd ever had. The spa has such an amazing setup and the pools are great. The change rooms and the waiting areas are all geared towards relaxation! The location of the hotel is fabulous with great views all around. Walking through the hotel is a fun experience as it does remind me of a castle in the mountains, complete with staircases, ballrooms and antique furniture. The rooms are great and the beds very comfortable. I would recommend a stay at the Banff Springs!

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This beautiful old Castle couldn't be in a more perfect spot. Our room was facing the mountain which is not the favoured valley view but every restaurant, ballroom, pool etc is facing the Bow Valley anyway. We loved our room and the staff was awesome. From the cleaning staff who sang for us at night (we were there at Christmas) to the head chefs and waiters, all were very gracious and glad to help. We stayed 3 days and I was luxuried out. There is actually lots to see and do in and around the Hotel so we only walked into town on 1 day. My daughter, 8yrs old, enjoyed the Kids Day Camp so much she hugged the staff every time we bumped into them around the Hotel. Never did we have a meal that we didn't thoroughly enjoy. We'll be back in spite of the cost. (Nothing is cheap as you can imagine)
Great job Fairmont!

Room Tip: We stayed in the original part of the Hotel which some say are too small but we found it comfortable...

“A Castle in the Rocky Mountains”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We stayed here for five days in early Feb 2012 and loved every second of our vacation. The weather was amazing – loads of snow and sunshine – as skiers we could have been happy staying almost anywhere, but that doesn't mean we didn't appreciate the Banff Springs. Warm, friendly, staff, lots of great choices as far as dining, walking distance to the town of Banff and the outdoor hot spring pool and indoor swimming facilities were excellent. We loved exploring this old CP Hotel and even downloaded a 'ghostfinder' app. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Bow Valley (North East Side of Hotel)
