From the UK, my husband and I are in our early sixties, and our adult daughter came too - all of us total non-riders but curious to find out about horses. Now we are spoiled. We were given riding lessons, a whole day learning horsemanship skills, a bare-back ride and two lovely simple trail rides, all expertly supervised in our 3 day stay at this beautiful, escape-from-it-all ranch. The horses were fantastic - gentle, friendly, well schooled. Everybody gets cajoled into throwing sticks for the dogs. For the experienced rider, looking for some real peace and beauty, this is a must.
Tom and Clarissa, with their young European helpers, were so very hospitable. Accommodation was simple and comfortable, food was healthy, tasty and plentiful. This place has a special set of values. It probably caters best for adults and small groups. For us it was a shot in the dark, but more than lived up to our hopes. Wonderful - loved it - want to go back.
