The Fiesta Americana in Hermosillo was a well-located hotel with very clean rooms and a friendly staff. The food was especially excellent. I had a wonderful salmon dinner there. And their breakfast buffet is awesome!

I am actually here in Hermosillo right at the time I am writing this review via internet access through their room for a fee of 5.60 usd per hour, which I really dont think is bad at all. Anyways, front desk is very helpful. Some staff speak english and are very polite and curteous. I am so glad I picked this hotel because this is my first time in Hermosillo and it is very comforting feeling to see many other americans staying here also. Last night I noticed about 20 or so hunters coming in from a days hunt. There is a local spot for quail and dove hunting it seems and all the american hunters were staying here. The rooms are of average size. Nothing really special about them at all, but they are very clean and appointed with nice, up-to date furniture. The room that i am in has a great view facing downtown Hermosillo. There are many near-by bars and restaruants close to the hotel. We went to the Wild-Horse night club lastnight and had a very good time. Although be aware that the university is a few blocks away so the traffic here on a weekend is very scary with kids cruising and showing off their cars. Just be careful driving or better yet, get a taxi. Taxi service is very cheap. We got a taxi from the bus terminal to the hotel for only $6.00 usd. Well, the fiesta amerciana is by-far the best hotel I've stayed in, but it is definetly the best hotel you will find in Hermosillo you will find.

I needed a room for the night in Hermosillo,I read the reviews here,hoped for the best and booked...really not sure what to expect...

I had a VERY nice stay here at this property. The hotel is not too far from the Airport, about 15-20min. Taxi fare is on a fixed rate by zones, so from the Airport this hotel was about US$15. Upon arriving, i noticed that the staff at this property were very friendly, and accomodating. checkin was fast and smooth, My room was very clean and bright and fresh with everything in very good condition. My room was looking out the back of the hotel away from the main street, The nice view included a skyline view with very nice sunset that evening.The Bed is in great condition, as are all the furnature. I had a very nice restful sleep. Aircon/Heat is controlled by Thermostat and works great. My room was very quiet as was the hotel. I think the hotel was 1/2 full, but i did not see anyone. I ate in my room that night, and Room service that night was truly an excellent meal, moderately priced. (i thought so). Should you want to eat downstairs, there are two restaurants with different menus. Both rest had many items to choose from. There was a bar downstairs as well. There is a hotel gym that is small but did the job nicely. Internet access was for a fee, was very fast and reliable for my stay. There is a pool, but i did not use.

In the morning i had an outside appointment, & there were plenty of taxis downstairs and checkout was very fast. the ride to the airport again, was quick and easy

Overall my one day stay was just excellent and i would not hesitate for a moment to stay here again.

I'm midway through a fairly long business trip. Knowing nothing of Hermosillo, I read all the tripadvisor reviews and, with a fair amount of trepidation, made my reservation here.

Whew - what a relief! Now, in November 2006, this is a very good hotel. No worries at all about booking here.

I have a standard room with a king bed. It's really exceptionally large for a standard room. It has a really comfy Laz-E-Boy style recliner and a decent 26 inch TV. There are several non-smoking floors - the smell of smoke in the room is, so far, pretty minimal.

The bar is nice with a good selection of spirits (okay...long week). I just checked out the fitness center - looks very nice...will use it in the morning. The pool is small but also attractive...clean and well-maintained.

So, please, feel comfortable (much more than I did) making your reservation here.

Given the location, size, etc of Hermosillo, I really couldn't expect there to be a finer hotel. Sure, this isn't the Peninsula
Hong Kong but it's also not the Radisson Gran Ancira Monterrey either (read my review of THAT hotel for a horror story).
