This is a Mexican resort hotel which is somewhat past its prime.It looks great from a distance; up close, tiles are falling off the roofs, tiles are missing from the swimming pool(which is clean and crystal clear), and handles are inclined to fall off doors, window louvres, etc.
Staff are defensive, as if expecting complaints , but probably because they don't speak English. (Fine with me).
10 min walk to beach takes one through part of town one might not otherwise see.
I did not try food tho. heard it was bad fom Polish university prof ,on all-inclusive deal , who complained there was no fresh fish, and the fish there was tasted strongly of aluminim foil.

I stayed there because the price was right, it was quiet, and I got to practice my Spanish, and I would go back.

Good for an older single guy, on a budget, who's trying to escape the noise of downtown.

The hotel was dirty, the rooms were dark and molded, the beds had bugs, the food was more than disgusting, the service awful and the filthiness was all over the hotel (pool areas, restaurants, gardens). Also, consider that the beach is not within a walking distance, you actually need a car to get there.

My Husband and I were in Mexico on our Honeymoon, his daughter lives in Gomez and works in CD Guzman as an English teacher, Cabo Blanco and Barre De Navidad was recommended to us by a Travel agent in CD Guzman. We found Barre De Navidad to be a wonderful place so much to do and the food is excellent. Cabo Blanco was a great place to stay, the rooms were very clean and big, with lots of hot water, which can be a very hard thing to find in some hotels in Mexico. There are different packages that you can buy at Cabo Blanco, we choose the package that included the room and breakfast everyday, this was a great package, the breakfast was wonderful with numerous different things to choose from. You can walk to town to shop it is only about three blocks and the shopping is great with great prices. There are many great restaurants to choose from also. I would strongly recommend Barre De Navidad and Cabo Blanco to anyone, it is a wonderful place, the people are so friendly and helpful. You must remember you are not in United States or Canada, you are in Mexico, so put your shorts on lay back in that beautiful sunshine and relax......

Wife and I stayed at Cabo Blanco 2 years ago We loved the place Very basic but clean and friendly The best thing about it was that it was full of Mexicans, who are the kindest, friendliest people on earth!
Bara is a great little funky town, very quiet and friendly. Food is inexpensive and good. This is not a five star resort but it is the best 3 star I have ever stayed in!
