“A perfect Honeymoon getaway”

My husband and I had the most amazing time at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. We stayed from September 25-October 1 in a beach front room. The beach front room was GREAT being so close to the pool and restaurant.
Some of the complaints I read prior to our trip of this place were the lack of activities or nightlife. I agree that it doesn't have a TON of entertainment options but that is not why we came here. We wanted to relax, drink, eat, and go into town. The food at Pacifica is TOP NOTCH. The sushi was amazing, the chocolate fettuccine with lobster OMG, the tuna steak, etc etc. Best food by far at an all inclusive resort. The food by the pool was great too- steak and chicken nachos were a daily occurrence, as were fish tacos and mango margaritas. The staff was friendly and there to make us happy. We tipped often, and that definitely didn't hurt our quality of service. The staff worked hard to make us happy and we felt they deserved a tip for it! The activities staff was great - we enjoyed several rounds of bocce ball.
Another thing i read about beforehand were complaints of being hassled by the time share people. Here's a secret - we were both 24 years old at the time of our trip, thus too young to purchase a timeshare. So we were never hassled once.
The spa was wonderful - we got a couple massage. While it was definitely pricey, it was 100% worth it. True relaxation at the hands of very talented masseuses.
We made reservations for each night of dinner that we were at the resort. The staff was very helpful in booking us reservations in town too. Since we went during the end of the off season, a lot of the popular restaurants in town were closed. The hotel manager recommended us to Las Golandrinas where we had some AMAZING lobster and steak and enough food to feed a village. Highly recommend it.
This place was extremely affordable considering the quality. That is why we didn't feel bad leaving the resort to go explore town. (Though we talked to many other couples who hadn't left the place once! I'm sure we would've been happy with that too :) ) We took a snorkeling excursion on a catamaran that was a great time, and we were happy to explore Cabo - a city we hadn't been to prior.
Our room was always kept clean, with a turn down service every night. They even give you a pillow menu!
Once thing I recommend would be renting a beach bed for the day. It was pure relaxation. A staff member would come and bring us drinks and food all day. It was absolutely worth the extra $20. We would sneak down to the water and dip our toes in. The waves were beautiful and we had no problem not to be able to swim in the Pacific - the pools were fantastic and more than made up for this!

Overall, I have no complaints. As a young couple on our honeymoon, we didn't want to be around all the drunk partiers found at other resorts, or the families with a bunch of children running and screaming around the pool. If that's what you want, then Pacifica is not for you. For a relaxing, romantic, fine-dining, beautiful getaway, GO TO PACIFICA. It is definitely remote being the last resort on the drive away from the airport. But we couldn't have been happier for this. Just a short ride into town using the free shuttle or a $10 cab ride was all that kept you from the fun of the city. We cannot wait to go back one day.

Room Tip: We spent a little extra for the beach front room (not suite). it was worth it. I would much rather b...

“Wonderful Christmas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

The entire experience with the Pacific was incredible! The staff were so friendly, very helpful and made you feel like a part of a family. It was the most relaxing time! What was really great was the shuttle that could take you to the sister resorts if you were looking for a change of pace. It was exactly what was needed during the hectic holidays and I would tell anyone looking to vacation in Cabo to check this place out first!

If you are looking for the place in Cabo to relax and recharge, this is it! Beautiful grounds located right on the beach, perfect for whale watching at the end of January. we could see the whales from our balcony or from the beach depending on the time of day. the staff was very attentive and courteous. Room service was excellent and was all we ate at the resort as we have several establishments in town that we like to visit. A la carte items were cheaper at the Pacifica than its sister resort up the hill, Sunset Beach. We love the Pacific side at Cabo typically because it is cooler in the summer and just right over the hill from town so the drive or cab ride is short. Woud stay here again in a heart beat!

“A beautiful place to do nothing but eat and drink.”

I am here now at Pacifica wishing I went somewhere else. The location is very nice. The grounds are quite beautiful. The staff is out of this world. The food is quite good.

So, why would I want to be elsewhere. Well, I don't golf, am not interested in paying for outside exclusions, and the selection of spa treatments is of no interest, that leaves nothing to do except eat and drink. Yes, there is a daily activity list, but they try to pack in everything into 30 min slots. There is no evening / night life at all.

If you just want to relax all day at a gereactic ward, this is the place for you.

BUT if you are like me and enjoy a wide range of activities, then you go elsewhere.

I am bored out of my mind here !!

My next vacation will be at a Breezes or Sandles, where at least there are things to during the and evenings...

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We apologize that you were not fully satisfied with all aspects of your visit and it is always our wish to go above and beyond our guests’ expectations. Pacifica Resort and Spa’s atmosphere is more centered on relaxation, wholeness and wellbeing. We are one of the few all-adult, all-inclusive resorts that offer a wide range of both health-conscious and indulgent items, and we have a number of wellness activities and entertainment. But you also have access to all of our other all-inclusive properties packed with shows, dinners, beach activities and memorable events. We hope to have another chance to welcome you back to prove our superior service, properties and spas to you.

“as advertised - romantic peaceful indulgent vacation”

we don't normally stay at this kind of all-inclusive resort (more the do-it-yourself, back country adventure types) but hey, once in a while one needs to indulge their inner sloth. Arrived to a glass of champagne and cool towel, went on from there. We were in the simplest class of room but plenty comfortable, a nice view east toward sunrise and the pool, and being close to everything meant running back to the room on occasion not a problem.
everything was lovely, the service was uniformly very good-to excellent, and genuinely friendly (Miguel and Josh the activities guys are a hoot, and Miguel's water aerobics workout almost- almost- makes up for the near-constant consumption of poolside cocktails...)
La Siempre restaurant was quite nice, tho La Frida at nearby Sunset won top billing for dining. Poolside dining was mediocre, fine for poolside snacks but dont waste a dinner opportunity there.
Our whole stay was lovely, lazy and indulgent - just as planned. The only peculiarity was the presentation of a check to be signed for at the end of each meal -- isnt the point of all-inclusive that one could dispense with the whole ritual of the bill? And I know it's to be expected, but could they just ditch the time-share presentation hard sell? We didnt want to waste any of our short stay going through the motions, so just let us be...

Only negative: the driver who runs the shuttle van to the airport - find a new one. He wasted time going to all the in-town resorts even though there was no one to pick up (and he has a radio, so he would know that) and then he refused to take the expressway so we sat through rish-hour traffic all the way to the airport. not necessary. Better to use the private options (TransCabo) for the trip out, though you have no choice on the return to airport.

Room Tip: Higher floor will put you above the center building for unobstructed view, we would prefer the east...
