“Just perfect!”

This place is the perfect setting for a nice relaxing getaway. Here's a quick rundown:

Location: The resort is about 10 minutes away by cab from downtown Cabo. So if you want to be super close to all the action of downtown Cabo this isn't the place for you. But if you want a nice, quiet place to relax this is it! I would suggest renting a car if you plan on getting around to save you cab fare. Beachfront is the way to go, you can't get closer to the ocean than this place.

Staff: Everyone is so friendly and helpful. When you first get in you are welcomed by the smiling Francisco. He is wonderful and will definitely make you feel at home. Abraham at the front desk was also very helpful. The rest of the staff is equally wonderful...always smiling and giving you a nice "Hola"

Room/Amenities: Great size rooms and all oceanfront. The sounds of the ocean waves crashing is unlike any other. I wish there was a bigger selection in the restaurant. The food was good though for the dishes they did offer. All rooms have a kitchen, so I would suggest going to the Costco or Walmart a few miles away and stocking the fridge. Since the restaurant and room service closes at 10 pm, having food with you is a must or else you'll starve till the next day.

Overall:Would definitely come back to this place. One of the best hotels I've stayed at!

Room Tip: Arrange for airport transportation ahead of time so you don't get hounded by taxi cab drivers at...

“No better setting.”

We had such a wonderful time at this resort. All I can say is that every morning we awoke to the gentle sounds of ocean waves. In the late morning and early afternoon there were whales visible from our deck. Staff was phenomenal and their restaurant was very good as well. I would highly recommend this resort.

Room Tip: Choose building A for the best whale views.

“Amazing experience”

We were expecting a beautiful resort after reading the rave reviews on TripAdvisor; however, this place exceeded our expectations! We had a view of El Arco and saw lots of whales from our balcony. We also enjoyed the beautiful infinity pool, swim-up bar, and both of the jacuzzi pools. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the room itself was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The beach was beautiful, and it felt like you had it all to yourself. We also thought the food was spectacular and were pleasantly surprised that they now serve dinner 7 nights a week. The location might be a little bit of a drawback for some, but there are plenty of excursions/tours that have hotel pick-up, so we only used a taxi once. We loved the intimate feel of the resort as well (I believe they told us that they have less than 70 rooms). This resort just had everything we could ever ask for, and we are very glad that we chose to stay here!

“3 Time's Even Better Than the Rest!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We just returned from our 3rd trip to this amazing hotel. It just keeps getting better. This year we went for 10 nights. Next year we stay for good! Once again it was my husband and I and our 4 year old daughter.
The most significant change is the hotel has now doubled in size. In less than 1 year they built a whole extra building! I was concerned about the hotel feeling crowded with double the number of people but that was not the case. There was still lots of room and it still maintains that cozy feeling of your own private piece of paradise. The other significant change was the extended hours for the restaurant, which means it is now open every day until 9 pm. Leaving to find food or doing your own cooking does not have to be an option anymore. We still opted to do the majority of our own cooking and enjoyed most meals out on our balcony over-looking the ocean. We have become quite the experts at maneuvering Mexican Wal-Mart. They have also gotten a new head chef since last year. The few meals we did have at the restaurant I quite enjoyed although I did find it still to be a bit over priced for what you got.
My daughter struggled a bit this year with being entertained there. There are not a lot of kid’s activities on the resort or in the area. We did not see any other kids at the hotel for most of our stay, so we had to work a little harder this year to make it fun for her. The best kept secret in all of Cabo for something to do with your kids is the Cabo Dolphin Swim. You can go WATCH the dolphins for FREE! The dolphin swim at the marina in Cabo has a viewing gallery. There are some very comfortable chairs and a bit of shade and you can watch people who have paid $170 US to swim with the dolphins. We were literally 10’ away from the dolphins. My daughter was beyond excited to see them up close. We contemplated taking her on a horseback ride down the beach but the staff at our resort literally talked me out of it, so we opted to watch the dolphins which was a much better deal.
One of the reasons we were down in Cabo this year was for a wedding, which took place at a different resort. I was a bridesmaid and when I asked at the front desk for someplace close to go and get my hair done they actually brought someone to me! The massage therapist at the hotel was a hair dresser and she came to my room and did an amazing job of putting my hair up and making it look it look perfect. She did a fancy braid in my daughter’s hair also. The whole thing cost me $40 US. There was a bit of a language barrier and we did a lot of hand waving to get our point across but I couldn’t have been happier with the end result.
I packed a few extras this year because I had learned my lesson from our previous 2 stays, especially if you are going to be doing the majority of your own cooking. This year I brought along a tea towel and dish cloth, coffee, tea, and little packets of sugar. It was just easier than buying it all at Walmart and watching it go to waste at the end. They completely clean out the fridge and pantry in between guests. Oh and don’t forget your binoculars to watch the whales. They were SO active this year. We averaged 20 to 30 whale sightings a day off of our balcony. It was incredible!
I could go on for pages about how amazing this hotel is but I will simply say there is a reason that we have gone here 3 years in a row. From the incredible staff, to the endless views, to the comfortable rooms and the general calmness of the place I can safely say, I am very sad to be home. I will happily answer any questions. cblakeman@shaw.ca

Room Tip: The rooms on the new side don't have as good a view of the arch but all rooms have an ocean view

“Spectacular views”

Just returned from Cabo after a week at the Sirena Del Mar with 3other well-experienced female travellers. Our penthouse 2-BR was spectacular. We loved the location of the property for many reasons - whale watching was #1 on our list, outside of downtown Cabo, and the beautiful private beach. The resort is quiet, very comfortable, beautifully designed, and most of all filled with wonderful staff (Carlos, Manny, Alex, Francisco, Antonio, Freda, and the gang) that made you feel at home. We can't wait to return amigos - Thanks for a great week!! We walked down to the private beach each morning - littered with shells and quiet waters allow access for swimming/snorkeling. The spa services on the balcony overlooking the sea was executed by two masters - it was dreamy! The only thing it lacked was a formal dining room. All of our meals had to be outdoors on the patio. I understand that this is coming and they will have more wait staff when that opens. You will love this little resort!!

Room Tip: The second building is just opening in Feb 2012. They've improved on some design issues. Highly...
