I went with my fiance and we had a great weekend.
We stayed just for a day and the whole building is in very good shape. The terrace has a maginificent view to the cathedral and it is great for drink a glass of wine during sunset.

The room we stayed in (Nogal) was very cozy, clean and the bath products were awesome! Also, the service was very attentive and they gave us good tips about the surroundings.
One bad thing about the hotel is that it's in a main street and it is very noisy. Our room headed to the street and we couldn't sleep very well due to the nightlife noise and buses.

The management was so helpful and friendly, I certainly didn't feel I was away from family and friends. The room was very clean and everything was comfortable. I really needed this relaxing excursion. I have a very demanding job and travel a lot; this was a place worth coming back to. The location is close to everything. My stay was too short but a trip I will long remember.

My daughter married in San Miguel, and our guests rented 5 of the 7 rooms at Tierra Negra. What a wonderful place! They handled everything. One guest became ill, and the management went above and beyond to assist her. Five guests were left behind because Ernie's Transportation failed to show up :( but the Tierra Negra management handled the situation beautifully by promptly calling another shuttle (thank you!). The ambiance was wonderful, the view and location great! Every room is cozy and different from the others. Absolutely flawless....my friends will be talking about this for years to come! We'll be back!

I stayed with 2 friends at this beautiful hotel. What I loved the most, were the rooms, of course, but also the peaceful ambience and elegant decoration. It made me feel at home, but yet, away from everything. The rooms have more than I expected, they have all amenities and the service is warm and friendly. The staff is multilingual and is always willing to help you with all the information you may need. It´s centrally located, perfect for tourists who want to be near all the "action" in town; restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, etc...Somebody recommended this hotel to me, and I thank him for that! And I now recommend it to everyone who is planning a trip to San Miguel.
