We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. the athmosphere in casa maria is elegant, stylish, and also "homey" and friendly. Pedro showed himself a good and well informed host, the breakfast was good, service up to par.
it is only slightly more distant from the zocalo than indicated by "centro" (15 minutes walk downhill), so taking a taxi back from the real centro to casa maria is advisable.

My husband and I travelled to San Miguel for 5 days on business and pleasure. We found the staff to be great always at the door to great us and every morning a wonderful breakfast served in the dinning room overlooking the court yard or in the courtyard. The accomodations were very clean the bedding great quality (but mattress a tad bit hard) all in all a great place. Thinking about going back in February and would not think of any other place to stay!! Make sure to take a trip to the Hot Springs La Grunda we only stayed 2 hours not knowing what to expect but certainly next time we will spent the whole day. The people of San Miguel are very kind and nice. Did not feel unsafe in town day or night.

It was our first trip to San Miguel de Allende, and friends recommended this cozy Bed and Breakfast. We were very impressed, and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is just about anything you want, and in a lovely dining area. It was easy to get a cab into town, and there are some places close where you can just walk. Pedro helped us with travel arrangements from the airport, which is quite far away. We will definately be back!

The staff was great, very attentive and responsive. Clean, good food, nice intimate garden.
