“A delightful place to spend my 35th birthday”

We came across Ardmore House on a whim when the places closer to Dublin were booked for Saturday night. We are so thankful that we did. We pulled into the iron gates and saw a picturesque home dating back to 1840. The gardens surrounding the home are incredible with beautiful flowers at every turn. Our hostess Christina, greeted us warmly, and had prepared fresh tea and scones to eat in the front room with a fire, for our arrival. She was very kind and offered us lots of suggestions of places to eat and visit as we traveled around her town. The rooms were spacious and clean with timeless furniture pieces - I felt like I stepped back in time, but had all the modern conveniences of today. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, yogurt, brown break, and anything else that you could ask for. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Ireland.
We ate in the next town over called Birr, and I have to say that I highly recommend Dooly's if you are looking for a nice pub environment for dinner.

Beautiful home. Beautiful room. Great breakfast. Lovely lady. If you want the best Ireland has to offer stay here.

“Very comfortable, like I was staying with my Aunt.”

The area itself was just beautiful. The building was lovely & the owner has been outting a lot of work into renovating it. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and I felt very comfortable and at home.

“A gem midway between Dublin and Galway”

We arrived at Ardmore House a little early after an all night flight from the US and a 1-1/2 hour drive from Dublin. We were quickly given a cup of tea and fresh scones while our room was being prepared. Our hostess, Christina, was wonderful, offering suggestions about places to eat and stops we should make along the way. Our room was very comfortable, looking out on the Sieve Bloom mountains. It was picture perfect. Breakfast was excellent with our choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, bread, juices, yogurt, and fresh preserves. An excellent start to our vacation.

what a fantastic b&b, 15 mins walk from Kinnitty Castle, half the price & with a personal touch. Chris the lovely land lady couldn't make you feel more welcome. My room was everything I needed, good size bed & very comfortable, good on suite. cant wait to stay there again
