“The place looks great but for the money I think I would find another hotel!”

We visited Dreams Tulum as " day pass" guest. We pay $60 for adult!!! It's an all inclusive facility. Looks amazing. We had breakfast at one of the restaurant and it was good. Not great but good with a variety of foods and beverages. They have about 3 pools. The beach is not what I would think of when I think of Tulum. Anyways the service is great. Everyone was very nice and kind. I just don't like the atmosphere! The food is average. If you are a big drinker this is your place and if you want to feel like you are at home, this is your place. When I'm paying thousands of dollars to travel outside the country I want my experience to be unique! I want to explore, not be stuck in a resort. Don't get me wrong the place is beautiful just to my cup of tea!!!

“Great resort if you have food allergies”

We spent 10 blissful days here and I have to say that it is one of the best all inclusive resorts that we have been to in the Mayan Riviera. We loved the food in all of the restaurants, including the World Buffet and because one of us has an allergy to gluten, Francesco took it upon himself to make sure that there was no chance of choosing dishes that weren't gluten free. We had suite 5114 which is the closest to the beach and it was a beautiful older style unit with living room, dining room, and a separate bedroom. We had double patio doors which opened onto a verandah and we could step right onto the beach- awesome!
The staff were first class and the resort is well maintained, very clean and a $10.00 taxi ride to Tulum so there is plenty to do if that's what you want.
Can't wait to go back.

A fantastic hotel in a stunning location! Beautiful beach. Extremely high level of service from all staff that we had contact with . Very warm family atmosphere created at this resort. Enjoyed all restaurants at the resort, the stand out restaurant for me was the italian!
I will definately be visiting this resort in the future and would recommend it to anyone ! For me, the name 'Dreams' is befitting for this hotel/resort, because for me and my family it was truely a dream staying at this resort!

“Perfect Vacation”

Firstly I can't believe that anybody finds this place to be anything less than perfect. I guess you cant please everybody all the time.
We stayed last May, and the May before that, and would go back again if it wasnt for a purchase in SW France.
Anyway I just wanted to leave another quick post to reassure anybody who is thinking of booking this hotel, you wont be disappointed.
Definately best to stay in the newer section though as the rooms are lovely, Can't comment on the older section as never stayed there.
All food in our opinion was good, the various restaurants serve up as much food as you want.
The beach is a little rocky etc but then its untouched/natural, the section of beach in front of the hotel is well maintained by the staff.
If anybody has any concerns you can just email the hotel or get in touch with them on facebook.
Enjoy!!

“A "Dream" Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

A “Dreamy” Place

We spent seven days at the resort and really had an unbelievable experience.

From the time you exit your car with incredible greeters and receive a glass of champagne and a cool towel to the time when the valet brings you your car the resort is enchanting. We finally had our vacation after a few months of intense stress from work and were really ready to relax.

One of our credit cards was stolen at Cancun airport at the Advantage rental car desk and as soon as we arrived to the resort the concierge, Veronique, went above and beyond to be sure that everything was taking care of. She was smiling, compassionate and very helpful and as the card had already been used, was a godsend in connecting us with our bank. After taking care of this problem we were driven to our room and settled in with our luggage. From that point everything went from good to better to best!

Food: I can without bragging say that I am a gourmet cook and love good food. The place offers an Asian restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, a French restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a Grill by the ocean, and lastly the World Café with a great buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every meal was wonderful!

The Maître d’hôtel Raul was unbelievable. This man is on top of his team of wait staff in all of the restaurants. We went to the French, Italian, and Seaside Grill and he was there and checking on everything. This man is a formidable asset to the resort’s restaurants. We exchanged short but pleasant conversations every night.

Bars and drink service: The bar staff are always smiling, remembering what you ordered before and made you feel special. Very quickly they come to know you and welcome you with a great smile and always a pleasant personal greeting. We had the privilege to have a couple of barmen who went above and beyond; Gamaliel was an evening barman at the Sugar Reef. He would take a couple of minutes to inquire about how we were doing every time and we had nice conversations, including that we learned that he was a newlywed He was on top of his game, yet very professional and fun. During the day we had Filiberto at the pool bar who greet me by my name and a killing smile. Kudos to all.

In the morning I would go to the Coco Café. After one day, and two black coffees and the complicated coffee my sig other wanted, Adriana knew what I wanted and would prepare it before I arrived to the counter. She was smiling, at seven in the morning, and very professional. I hope the resort will notice her commitment to a great service.

Cleanliness: I think that you should always judge a place by how clean the bathrooms are. I went to the outside bathrooms at 7am or 11 pm and any hour in between. They were always spotless and 80% time of the time there was someone cleaning. We had an evening rainstorm and at 11pm there were people clearing the water on the sidewalks.

Activities: The entertainment team does a great job, asking you if you want to participate but were never pushy. They are very present at all of the events and considerate of everyone.

In closing, an army of employees is there for you to enjoy your stay at the maximum. They do everything to make sure that you to enjoy your stay. I was for a few years in the hospitality business and friendliness is a must if you don’t overstep into the pushy zone. That’s what they do every day and every minute.

I will return.
