I've stayed here a number of times, every time I travel to Merida. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is superb with many traditional Yucatecan dishes - you can ask for huitlachoche quesadillas at the egg station. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed with flat screen TVs, free wireless internet. The pool is lovely with the exercise room looking out towards it. In front, the Arboleda outdoor restaurant buffet has cook to order stations and the seating area allows you to relax under large trees with live music. The weather is perfect for outdoor eating. There is a small mall across the street, convenience store on the corner. Other fine restaurants such as La Pigua are walking distance as are McDonalds, Walmart, Chedauri (grocery) along the famous Paseo Montejo lined with colonial mansions. The next traffic circle down has a huge bas relief Mayan sculpture that is iconic for Merida (that is also where McD and the grocery are).
