We had 4 nights here during our trip down to Belize. The place is very nice, centrally located and the staff are excellent with plenty of information and resources.

The rooms are very good (albeit a little dark), large and very uniquely decorated with many sea themes going on and if you are lucky you will get a sea view with balcony, which is great for people watching and watching the massive cruise liners come and go. Please note there was a very small in room safe which is good for travel documents and small electrical equipment, full size laptops will not fit.

Overall a very good hotel with a central location, the only thing that let the place down was the very poor in-room breakfast (which I really looked forward to) of juice, coffee and some unidentified pastries. We declined breakfast after the first day.

Comes recomended, but have a 2nd plan of action for breakfast, luckily there are many places to grab a morning meal.

This hotel is a convenient downtown location with exceptional service from everybody involved. From the front desk to the cleaning ladies and security were all top notch.I choose the oceanfront room because I like to watch the cruise ships come in the just the general goings on on the main drag.Used Aldora for diving and the location to the dive pier a block away was perfect. Because of a 7:30am dive departure we asked for our coffee,juice and sweet rolls to be delivered at 6:45 and it was on time every single day. We bought some yogurts and fresh fruit at the Mega which is right down the street and had a complete breakfast.Within walking distance to shopping,restaurants and many dive shops.Booked through Orbitz and got a fantastic deal for Christmas week. The hotel had a Christmas Eve party for the guests and it was very nice.Air conditioning worked great but the only complaint I would have would be the hot water was a little challenging at times. All and all a great place to stay for the money if being in town is what you prefer which I do to the all inclusives.I will return

We visited here on our 10th anniversary and the service was fabulous!! Martin was very good at making us feel at home and comfortableThe room was nice and the view was fabulous!! We are all-inclusive people and we wanted something different and wanted to experience the local area and Vista Del Mar was the right fit!! Loved the continental breakfast that we asked to be served on the balcony facing the ocean!!! Breathtaking!!

We've now stayed at both the Bahia and Vista del Mar, and honestly, we love them both. Both of our stays were in a waterview balcony room. I'll try to concentrate on the differences, but both are good choices. Cost: We paid a bit more for the Bahia but the prices were comparable and you may find a better deal. Location: This was the only appreciable difference, in our opinion. We always like to be as close to a city's central plaza as possible, and the Bahia is almost 2 blocks closer. When the cruise ships are in, the walk from the Vista del Mar is like a gauntlet, with shopkeepers haranguing you every step and cruise passengers blindly milling about the sidewalk. If you're a diver though, the Vista del Mar is directly across the street from a major dive boat dock. Rooms: Both our rooms were plenty large, the Bahia being extra large, as it was a "suite". Although it wasn't technically a suite because there was no wall or door between the main area and the sleeping area. Both have good size decks. Breakfast: Both include breakfast, the Bahia you need to walk up the street and around the corner, but we liked the food much better. Vista del Mar brings your tray to your room, just tell them what time you want it.. The coffee was excellent, the orange juice is to die for, but the sweetbreads were pretty lame.
