I just returned from a convention that was held in Cancun. I stayed at a very cute small hotel called:The Suites Costa Blanca. Members of my group choose it because it was less than 2 blocks from the convention center and it was also very well priced. We paid $85.00-Dollars per room. It was very large and nicely decorated. It is not a full service hotel in that it is not on the beach and there is not a swimming pool. They do have an arrangement with the Hotel Presidente where for $100-pesos per day you could use that hotel's pool and facilities including towels. We did one day. The small staff at the suites Costa Blanca were very nice to deal with and tryed to help us with our needs. In the morning there was complimentry coffee and sweet rolls(pan dulce) in the lobby. Please note that the hotel is located on the second floor of the Costa Blanca Plaza and it does not have an elevator. Our room had a sitting area with a color tv. The air conditioning in our room worked very well. Guests are given a 10% discount for the Pacal Restaurant which is located on the main level of the plaza. Our dinner at the Pacal was great. It is a very beautiful air conditioned restaurant with first class food and service. I would highly recommend staying at this small hotel.
