“Overnight Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

This is a nice hotel for the money. We chose the room that included the evening snacks & wine along with the breakfast bar w/ speciality omelets. there is also a breakfast included meal in the beachside dining room but the one with evening and morning meals was a better deal. Everything else is very expensive here and elsewhere in Cancun. We chose this hotel again because it has a fantastic beach!!!

As a special note the Cancun AP is a den of thieves. If you look at all confused one of these people in what looks like service attire will immediately help you & you'll lose even more money then the already expensive rates. For example, cab salesmen will try to charge you $65 for a cab to the hotel. The shuttle is a long drive and is still $40. For a one nite stay, we should have rented a car. If you have a GPS & your wits about you, it's often cheaper. Again watch for shysters. Rent in advance & search the rates with insurance. No insurance ='s jail if you have a wreak. In general get all the information about transport to the hotel/airport and all else online before you arrive. Get directions to & from the bus at the terminal, the car rental location, the cab location online before you arrive. the good news is the thieves are, in fact, helpful; they just cost a lot.

Room Tip: the beach is great no matter what room you choose. So unless you absolutely need a beach view room...

“Best beach and great hotel in Cancun”

My husband and I visited this hotel in January 2012.This was our third time at this hotel and we were not disappointed. The weather was amazing and this hotel has the best beach in Cancun where the water is very calm and most gorgeous blue! We love this hotel as coming from England in January the two most important things are weather and beach and we get both from the Presidente! We had a suite on the 5th floor from where the view was amazing. We also had complimentary breakfast and snacks and drinks in the evening. All the staff and the General Manager are always very helpful and make our stay at the hotel very enjoyable. We shall definately return to this hotel!

“Good stay, beautiful beach, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

We had a clublevel room with balcony with a beautiful view. This room was completely updated and in a tasteful and contemporary look. Like other reviewers have indicated, this is one of the best beaches in Cancun.

Restaurants/food/service good.

We definitely would come back to this hotel again.

Room Tip: Clublevel with balcony includes complimentary breakfast and snacks, which is a good value

i recently visited cancun and stayed at the presidente intercontinental it was ok at first but i was alittle bit scheptical the way it looked at first but that didnt bother me because i went out any way i suggest for future travelers to rent a car a small car not big your gonna need to park and get into small paking spots. Anyways when i was in the hotel i was a little bit bored that is until a young man name ISAAC the one who makes the coffee close to the front desk starting tallking and he showed me around also there was young girl named leonor cervantes at the restaurant was there and she was by far the most friendly and courteous person in the entire hotel both those people are the ones you want to talk to find out about different places in the area like shopping food and all sorts of stuff and theyre the only ones that made the trip worthwhile thanks to them so if your ever in the are and decide to stay in theyre hotel talk to them. All in all the experience was ok and leonor and isaac made it great. The rooms were average room service a little pricey and dont touch the minibar cause it cost alot just have them lock it but if your out to spend some cash go to the restaurants in the hotel theyre real good food.

Room Tip: i stayed in the 3rd floor but make sure you ask for the beach side NOT the lagoon that way your able...

“Take the good with the bad.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Great beach, great restaurants, great service in food and beverage. Location is great for walking to many things. Rooms are filthy (had a large clump of hair stuck on my shower wall which made me think everything was unclean). Housekeeping left no coffee. The safe had no lock. The Internet was supposed to be complimentary but we had to beg for the access code. The front desk staff at check in seemed bothered by their job. Our room faced the lagoon and all night you heard drums beating and the walls were paper thin, we could the guests next door put ice cubes in a glass and pour soda over it! Imagine what else we heard! Needless to say we checked out due to no sleep and we won't be back, thankfully there plenty of other choices!
