We stayed three nights in this hotel. If you dont like to be bothered by the street traffic, make sure to get a room inside the block. We didn't eat in the restaurant, it doesn't look much appealing and it's much better to try other places for eating. Parking is safe.
There are several cauches and comfortable armchairs in the lobbies, once it was raining and I just took a nap on one of them. It felt like being in the jungle with the rain falling on the big leaves of the thousands of plants you'll find there.
They take a great care of the garden so it is very nice and gives a lot the mood of the hotel together with the stilish decoration and colours.

I dont recommend this hotel: The room is small, the bathroom floods after taking a shower, the pillows are not comfortable , they have problems with water pressure and hot water and, finally, it is crowded and noisy. They offered me a price when I called them from US and once I came they charged me more.

we stayed here this past september, 13 of us on a motorcycle trip through mexico. they answered our e mail and reserved the rooms that were waiting for us when we arrived. we were welcomed with a free coctail at the bar upstairs. the parking was great for us, there is a restaurant for breakfast, the hotel is very typical decorated with an interior garden. the staff was extemely helpful, they lined up a private tour for our group with an excellent guide. yes, the bed is a little hard, but the place is immaculate, well located, and traveller friendly. i would highly reccomend staying there. we got a big discount also. we did not find it noisy at all.

After a night at an expensive hotel nearby, we got ourselves over to the Jardines del Centro, one of 3 of this small, local chain. We had attempted to email a reservation but they don't answer their emails so you just drop in. It was the end of the season and they showed us a number of rooms and let us choose. We choose the 3rd floor (a larger room on the first floor had a damp, mildewed smell). We got a view of the mountains and a good sized room. We had use of the computer downstairs and a small deck on the top floor shared by the rooms there. The views are beautiful and charming-sorry didn't get any pix. The staff was friendly and helpful although they couldn't get the remote control to work on our TV to catch some Olympics. Some drawbacks: the beds were hard, the pillows lumpy (we found that all over), and the city is exceedingly noisy at night. Fireworks go off all night. We were told it was a neighborhood celebration but it never stopped. Disco music can also be heard in the rooms from surrounding bars on weekends. You might try one of the other of the 3 for weekend visits.
