“Wonderful Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2011

We stayed at Casa Oaxaca for 4 nights. The hotel is very pleasantly located in the historical city center, it has a beautiful courtyard and spacious rooms. Everything is elegantly decorated and spotless. Breakfast is a la carte and aside from typical Mexican style dishes, there tasty other options. Make sure you try their fresh pancakes.

While the hotel is beautiful by itself, it is really the people and the service that make the experience unforgettable. Agustine greets you at breakfast and makes sure that his staff makes you feel at home. We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant and we took the cooking class with chef Alejandro. I would recommend both!

“So lovely - the best place for our wedding. Schoen sehr schoen- nichts besseres fuer unsere Hochzeit!!!”

I come from Oaxaca, Mexico, and my husband from Germany. We were looking for a place full of magic, tradition, elegance and charm. We found just what we were looking for in "Casa Oaxaca". The service is the best, you can relax in your holidays, and I know this because my family and friends stayed in the hotel for a week and they still miss it today. The food is incredible, the breakfast, the bread, the juice, well everything is good and fresh. At the wedding the cocktails " Mezcalines" were a dream. The chef is very creative, he found the balance between oaxaca's typical food and elegance. You have to know that my husband has to like the food but not only the taste also the appearance and only the Chef at Casa Oaxaca understood what we needed. The whole evening was a dream to us and to our family and friends. The management at Casa Oaxaca is very professional, the whole service is the best and this is not only my personal feedback this is the feedback of all my family and friends specially of those that come from Europe. Just to summarize, I suggest this magical place in the center of the beautiful city Oaxaca not only for your vacations but also to celebrate special moments of your life. This special and lovely place "Casa Oaxaca" was like my house during my wedding and i really felt like at home. Thanks for all Casa Oaxaca.
Greetings from Germany.

“Perfect Wedding Location- Wonderful Hotel and Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2010

We recently held our 100 person wedding at Hotel Casa Oaxaca. WE LOVED IT!! The entire event was magnificent, and many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had attended.

The location is lovely- very centrally located within the pedestrian-friendly historic center of Oaxaca, the hotel is a organized around a lovely courtyard. The plants, white plastered walls, and furniture make it an elegant oasis within the city. The pool in the back is great too, as is the upper gallery with views of the hills behind and Santo Domingo a few blocks away. The intimacy of the courtyard was a beautiful setting for our wedding.

The event planning with Liliana was easy and accommodating. She worked with us on specifics for ceremony location, number of guests (which changed up until the week before), and a menu and budget that worked for us. Conversations with her and the chef and a delicious tasting put our minds at ease in regards to the food served at the wedding. Everything was taken care of day of and we didn't have to worry about a thing.

The food is to die for! We had gone to the restaurant before, and were befuddled with the numerous excellent choices. Liliana accommodated vegetarian needs and overall the quality and presentation of the food at the wedding was impeccable. The quality and presentation was already outstanding in our experience at the restaurant and at our tasting, but at the event, it was even better!!! They really take care. Breakfast was also delicious (and included in a night's stay).

The staff at the hotel in general and specifically during our event was very attentive, personable, and warm. Many guests commented on the staff's attention to detail. "They clearly understand luxury at Casa Oaxaca because they anticipate your every need and desire." was one guest's comment.

We stayed at the hotel with our immediate families for two nights. The rooms were all very nicely furnished, complete with books and art, and all different. The sheets were awesome! (We found the local weaver and bought a couple sets for home.)

While nightly hotel rates are not on the cheap end, Liliana worked with us and offered us a package that turned out to fit our budget and when compared to other options in Oaxaca, turned out to be the best value by far. We cannot emphasize enough how delighted we are to have had our wedding at Hotel Casa Oaxaca. We hope to make it a regular vacation spot in our future!

“Love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2010

A really good hotel! Stayed here for three nights, and is for sure coming back if we will visit Oaxaca again. In walking distance from everything in the city, and a very helpful staff. Only minus is the noise from the yard in the morning, though it is still possible to sleep!

Try it :o)

“a beautiful hotel with great service”

We spent five nights at this hotel - which is well run by a wonderful, friendly staff. My partner injured his eye and the manager, Berenice, personally escorted us to the hospital for care and referred us to an excellent physician. The breakfasts are worth staying there for - the food excellent and the setting, the courtyard a most relaxing place to start your day in - our room was large & comfortable and very tasteful - my only caution would be that given that the restaurant is in the courtyard those rooms on the courtyard, we stayed in one, do have to contend with the noise that such an enterprise and its guests and staff & background music will make - however this place is so great that we enjoyed it despite that!!
