“Great Hotel...Great tour guide”

My girlfriends and I just returned from a week long vacation at Mayan Palace. The accommodations were amazing--cleaning services, staff, food and pools were all excellent. The shuttle service from Mayan Palace to Grand Mayan (where the ocean is) was not inconvenient at all...a short 5 minute golf cart ride or a 15 minute walk.

We researched a personal driver prior to arriving and decided on Roberto after reading several reviews. He picked us up from the airport with the biggest smile and was ready to show us the wonderful Acapulco and how safe it is!

We ended up using him much more than we had anticipated, but he had wonderful recommendations for dinner and site seeing. All of which he was prompt to picking us up, made sure the restaurant staff knew who all of us were and escorted us if we were going out after dinner. We let him know what time we would want to be picked up and he was always there no matter how late.

My favorite restaurant was Linda Vista which has an amazing city view and great staff.

Contact Roberto and he will make your trip to Acapulco memorable and is extremely well priced! robertoalrey@yahoo.com.mx

This was our second visit to the Mayan Palace/ Grand Mayan. Have thoroughly enjoyed both times. From the staff to the amenities everything was great. Both times we have used Baldo Gomez (baldo-work@hotmail.com) to pick us up from the airport and take us where ever we needed to go. It was nice to arrive at the airport to a friendly familiar face. He knows the history of Acapulco and where to go. I highly recommend him to anyone who is going to Acapulco

“Wonderful Family Vacation”

We stayed at the Mayan Palace and we thought it was an excellent resort, with a wonderful staff, beautiful pool and great restaurant! We also took advantage of the shuttle to the Grand Mayan, another beautiful resort with access to a wonderful beach and a mile long pool. We loved everything about both hotels and the fine staff. We felt safe and loved the beauty of Acapulco-more than we ever expected!!! This was all due to our wonderful tour guide, Benjamin Alarcon. He treated us like family and was a gentleman at all times, with a vast knowledge of everything we saw. He took us shopping, swimming with the dolphins, lunch at the cliff divers show and a tour of the city and all its "jewels"-sights and scenes we will never forget.

“Excellent Hotel with excellent service from all staff”

We are just back from 2 weeks at the Mayan Palace and had a great time, the facilities there are superb. The staff are the most friendlyist we have come across in many years of travel throughout the globe, nothing is anything trouble for them, from the bell boy at the door to the night houskeeper who turns down the bed. We celebrated our wedding aniversary whilst there and having mentioned this to one of the waiting staff at breakfast a special decorated table was prepared for us in the evening which was a great surprise. Special mention to Candito and Ramiro in the restuarant who gave us that extra special attention throughout our holiday which made it so pleasurable. The Suite we had was also fantastic, great sized spacious air conditioned rooms, bed linen changed every two days and more towels than we would ever need, the chambermaid service we received from Cristina was exceptional. On Tuesday's its a Mexican Karioke night, we shared our table with a Mexican family and had a great time.
We will certainly return.

Only downside was that we were caught up in a timeshare presentation on the very first day where we were subjected to a lot of pressure by several different individuals to buy further weeks, this reminded us of Tenerife 15 years ago, however we didn't buy, but we obtained a 10% discount on all hotel purchases throughout our stay which amounted to around a US$250 discount by attending. This is an upside if you can survive through the strong sales pitch!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are good, however if you can get a Suite at the end of the floor corridors this is better...

We have stayed here for 18+ years since it was first built and it just keeps getting better and better. We have brought friends and family time after time and they just can't wait to go again. It is the perfect get away.

While you are there the best taxi driver is Jose' Antonio Pinzo'n Gil taxi #1447 his city tours are the best you can go year after year and see or learn something new.

Excellent would be a understatement in describing Jose' he is trully amazing if you can book one of his tours you will not be sorry. Thanks Jose' for always making our vacation the best.
