“Acapulco Park Good Choice”

Good Value!! First time staying at this hotel. My stay was for 8 weeks. Most of the employees were very helpful and friendly. Pool was nice.. lots of sun and shade.
Everything worked OK if any problem it was fixed right away. Security was good.

Great happy hour starting at 5:00 PM. Friendly bartenders which do a great job.

Met lots of nice people who had stayed in the area for a long time. I myself been going to Acapulco for over 40 years. Love this area Close to everything.
Hope to stay there again next year.

“Biggest Dump In Mexico”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2008

So I spent some time in Mexico City and Cuernavaca in May 2005. Took a bus from Cuernavaca down to Acapulco ($US25) and went to a travel agency. They didn't have ANYTHING left, all the hotels were booked. I had no idea that it was "Semana Santa" (Holy week) in Mexico. Acapulco basically becomes New Orleans/Mardis Gras!!! Students, Drugs, Crime, it's all bad! Of course if you like to party then go for it, but this hotel SUCKED. I checked in and paid $300 US for 3 nights. That's $100/night, when it usually goes for $49/night. They doubled the price!

My Room: Toilet did not flush. No hot water. AC didn't work. Two double beds were both HARD, and only one of them had a pillow (1 room, 2 beds, 1 pillow!!!). The phone had NO CORD IN IT!!!! I sat on my bed and literally cried for like 30 seconds. I wanted the perfect vacation and got a bunch of crap!

I went down to the lobby and DEMANDED my money back. Surprisingly, they were like, ok no problem! So the staff was very nice. I went back to the travel agency and the only other hotel option was Las Brisas, one of the best. I was able to put my $300 towards the new hotel, but it was $2250 MEX PESOS/night (US $210). I WOULD NEVER STAY AT ACAPULCO PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Liked — Easy checkout when I found out it sucked.
  • Disliked — EVERYTHING ELSE

“A cheap, clean hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2007

The a/c was old, noisy and didn't work properly. . The bathroom smelled like cigar smoke. The bar/restaurant was pretty small, no room for more than what, 15 people?

The pool was ok but you have to walk one large block to reach the beach. No parking lot for tourists buses available. I didn't actually see any parking lot.

Every day we stayed there we saw a police patrol in the corner so at least we were safe.

There is a computer in the lobby where you can get connected to the internet.

Rooms are small but clean.

It's not the Ritz or the Four Seasons, but if you're only looking for a place to sleep, it's ok.

“Do not recommend this Hotel!”

Worst experience ever! I was so glad to check out the following day. The "air conditioner" was not working at all. We called the front desk and they came up to check it and assured us it was working and to give it time to cool. Well, we waited and waited and it was just not working, SO we had to sleep with the door open to get at least some breeze in. It was 95 degrees. Couldn't even sleep. The bathroom smelled like sewer. I think it was coming from the bathtub drain. I'm just glad i booked it for ONE night. Not worth a penny! VERY UNSATISFIED!
