“HORRIBLE STAFF”

I am extremley disappointed in this hotel. We booked one night through this website and when we got to Acapulco after a 5 hour bus ride the receptionist was unable to find our reservation. Instead of reassuring us it would be ok not to mention we had proof of payment; she offered to put us in a room, but we had to leave a deposit voucher. Once in the room there were NO towels, out of 7 lights in the room only 2 worked. When asked for towels they were never brought to the room. We had to ask when we were already wet from coming back from teh beach and they still did not have towels. When asking the same receptionist (her name is Margarita) who helped us earlier said there were no towels available so we had to go to our room soaking wet. The towels arrived 15 mintues later. I complained to the reservations manager about the service we received from that particular receptionist and she offered us a discounted night which was nice. I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel staff and it really seemed they didnt care.
The location is AMAZING which is why i decided to stay 2 more nights. There is a night club that is open every night across the street until 2 am, so it is VERy noisy at night and not easy to fall asleep. If you are looking to go to Acapulco for peace and quiet this is not the place. But if you are looking for a great location and plan to be out late and have fun and not worried about the horrible staff and loud music at night; this is your place.

“WORST HOTEL EVER!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2010

I stayed in this hotel not by choice as i was with a group so I had no idea what to expect. We checked in and the bathroom was dirty as were the towels. Which I may add are like 100 years old and they only give you 2. The A/C barely worked so it was humid as hell. The furniture is also very old as are the linens. The TV is ancient and they dont give you the remote unless you ask for it at the lobby. You are only given one key which half the time doesnt work. They charge you extra for almost everything like local phone calls. They have wi-fi available on at the lobby and pool. The pool is dirty and tiny. It is close to the clubs so if you are bothered by noise this will be a problem. Worst of all is the elevator. Get this you have to call a number to get the elevator to your floor! it takes FOREVER! It is unhealthy and unproffesional the amount of people they allow to get in that elevator. Overall not a good experience no matter how cheap it is. You would think the owner would invest a little in repairing his business but I guess not.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!

“No AC & Bad breakfast”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2010

The place had no AC & it is quite humid there. Sleep was disturbed due to this. The towels & toilets were just ok & did not give a nice comfortable feeling. The lifts are terrible with an average waiting time of 10+ minutes. The breakfast options were limited & we chose to go out for breakfast. Internet is available only on the ground floor & there is not enough space to sit.

“Nice for the Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 April 2010

I was pleased with the Hotel for the rate I paid. Yes, I am very aware the clubs across the street are very noisy as I have stayed here years ago. So I brought several pairs of ear plugs and had some wonderful nights sleep. Stayed here 2 weeks this time. Also go a room over by the pool so further away from the clubs. The staff were pleasant and had room services several nights. Got a lower room so did not have to depend on the elevators. A longer vacation for cheaper than anywhere I could have went in the US even including air. Relaxing, sunny and wonderful. I got more than I expected for the price, so my expectations were meet. There was no where in the US I could have flown and stayed two weeks for this price and I even had sun every day as is usual in Acapulco this time of year.

“Good place for a short stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 March 2010

Overall, I thought this hotel was quite decent. All the rooms have balconies from which you can see the bay, which was probably my favorite part. The beds and furniture were fine, if not new, and the pool was nice enough, though crowded. The hotel has a great location, right in front of the beach (which you can access with a pass from the hotel) and a row of clubs. My only complaints were that the soap dish looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the bathroom was old and dark and the door didn't close properly, and the elevators were extremely slow (especially in a place with more than 20 floors). Lastly, I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're looking for a relaxing time or are bringing small children, because the clubs in front of the hotel are so loud at night that I could hear their music right through my ear plugs-- and they close at 8am!
