I have stayed here a few times and have noticed the place is in desperate need of repair and is rundown on my last visits. The owner needs a real dose of reality and should learn that guests are not there to listen to the problems with staff and running of the hotel. Good concept in the early 2000's, but without proper management, staff, and resources (including money) to keep up the place, it is falling apart quickly. I feel sorry for the owner, but it is time for this play to sell or close. Gay travelors have many other fine options in Acapulco, and unfortunately, Las Palmas is not one sophisticated gay travelors who are used to fine accomodations will find very attractive. Just take a look at the website and notice rate cards from 2000 - 2001 and no updates/current information and this should be a huge clue about the state of this B&B in 2006.

I used to like this hotel but my recent stay was a nightmare. They can't find the keys for most of the rooms, the linens need replaced, the towels are thin and ragged, and the place needs a good cleaning. The owner has serious issues and it is affecting not only the quality but the atmosphere. With a number of nice gay hotels in Acapulco I won't waste my money on this place again.

If there is a Place in Acapulco where you can feel at home is Las Palmas .
Such a nice enviroment, professional service , great clean rooms
David and the staff went beyond limits to make me have a good time
speccially Enrique Beristain ohh lord is such a wonderfull manager and his service oriented staff is great

I have grown to know and love David and all his staff over the years. I go there once or twice a year and their goal is to please. They will happily provide you with maps, food at all hours day and night, or handle any other special requests. They even have an on-call doctor. Relaxing pool and bar area and a variety of room choices. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else while in Acapulco! (Note: Hotel is for the gay traveler.)
